Working on the V-wing Airspeeder.
Not easy, I was only able to find 3 reference pictures, though, it only makes sense, it was only in one game, AFAIK.
Still got some detail to add, and I need to thin out the wing tips more, but then it's down to texturing, merging it into one mesh, scaling it, and adding nulls.

It was only in Rogue Squadron?
Nice work. It looks almost real.

Looks great!

Isn't the base texture from the munificent or some other stock space ship?

Yep.

I cheat and use a lot of SWBF textures as bases.

Looks sweet maveritchell
Will it make it's way into dmi by chance?

You could also use it as a dome model on mos eisly.

Whew, been spending some time on this one, UV's where a pain in some places.
I still need to make a custom texture for the cockpit piece, but that shouldn't take long.
Is it to "busy"? I was kinda worried about that.
Big thanks to Billy Joel the "Piano Man" for keeping me company while I modeled.
@Mav: Wicked Skyhopper, that would be fun in DMI. Oh and it's not cheating, or if it is, your not alone.

The V-wing texture I'm using is a edited version of the K-wing texture, it was perfect really.

Nice models, Mav and Caleb! I got a new house in DMI, it's a small building, but it may take up too much space.
Full view:
"Backyard":
Yes, I did darken a texture I found on google, yes I did steal Rep's idea of an obstacle course, Yes, there is a terrain cutter, yes I'm probably going to be over the poly limit, no it's not finished yet.

Looks interesting.
Oh and I highly doubt your going over the poly limit, how many tri's (triangles) does the building have?
Incase you don't know how to find out, in XSI, hit Ctrl + Enter, Tri's are under the components section.

@ Caleb -- Dude, the V-Wing looks top notch

One question though? Is it possible/are you planning on being able to see the pilot?

I'm texturing the canopy now, I could have it that way, if you want.

The texturing, She is finished!
Not a stone's throw away from completion now, I'll add some transparency, to the cockpit texture, and model a simplistic interior thing, that will be seen through the glass.

That's AMAZING.
Also, caleb, it's 7828 triangles.

Oh... that is alot, my Vwing is only 1200.
You should do a filter polygon's operation.
