Oh well, I dunno how to rate this one.. doesn't look that impressive from the screenshots but I'm not gonna judge a book by it's cover.
You know that he's SWBFFiles staff, don't you?
Yes I do.

The Mustafar one is really nice, and is that an animated gunship?
Awesome.

The only problem I had with Mustafar was that the clone trooper was the only unit not upgraded from the 1.3 patch.

I don't have the 1.3 patch sides, so for me this wasn't a problem.

The other maps look good - not so sure about the "The Unknown...", looks a bit blank to me.

Eh, doesn't look too impressive. Too narrow for my liking. Reminds me of that one mission in the original Rogue Squadron... forget which one.

I thought the exact same thing.

The second Kessel mission? It does remind of it a lot.

I was thinking Kile II, the Y-wing mission.
So far it looks like Mustafar and Raxus Prime are getting the best response, but there's still time for more maps to be submitted.

Yes, that's it! I wonder if the author molded it after that mission...
EDIT:
Hey look! I beat Sky to it! Next map up:

@Nova: That's probably because Sky haven't uploaded it.
That's it, no more submissions. Good luck everyone.

Did anyone get
Colony 1138 to work? It always crashes to desktop for me, and I was wondering if there isn't some way to fix this, I would like to give this map a try before I send my vote for the contest...

Maveritchell wrote:I had the same error. I was able to get the map to run using the developer version of SWBF2 (Modtools.exe), but it looks like there's an odd Sev 3 error preventing it from running correctly in the main game.

@Nihillo: Try to play the Galactic Cicil War, this era works.
But for me too, CW era crashes to desktop everytime.

Congrats to the winners of the Dec. '09 mapping contest! The only thing that bugs me is that the Unknown Canyon got tied for 6th even though it was not a really well done map. It just seemed as though the author just threw in random objects and submitted it. It might of had good gameplay, but the thing I look forward to in a map (other than custom sides) is how well the objects and if they match the scenery.
Oh well, that's my take on the voting. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Well, Xavious said it was a tie for the 6th place, so I guess those maps didn't really get any votes, the staff must have simply put them together for convenience.
I'm satisfied with the results, all of the maps I voted for made it to the top 3, which reminds me: congratulations to bobfinkl, the ultimat, Eggman and specially Darth Spiderpig -- I mean, I could have sworn Kuat had been made by Skyhammer or Yankfan! You are even better than I thought!

I know, I was thinking the exact same thing. I was leaning more towards Sky cuz it looked like his work but I was wrong. Nice map indeed, Spiderpig! It reached my Top 3 Favs of the Dec. '09 contest!
