No this isn't another how do I get rid of them topic.
This is a I did get rid of them topic. :D
I decided to play with this a bit going by the TUT in the FAQ and with a little cursing I got it to work.
Here are some screenies these are the Naboo guard weapons.

Rifle (excuse the detonator that is the next part to work on)

As soon as I collect my notes together I will explain what I did and give examples, I still also have to work on the second weapon Icon but that shouldn't be too hard (I hope) :roll:

Kudos dude. I was able to do the same, but there was always the same hud floating in the middle of nowhere.

Just add entries to the .hud files. Simple as that. But excellent job still!

Yes just adding entries to the .hud files you can do and if you ship everyone your ingame.lvl file they
will see them in the right place (okay so it works in the BF1 mod pack because it is special and everyone
will down load it I know I did) But is the completion of the TUT in the FAQ by Majin Revan which he mentioned
he only had 50% working. This can be shipped as part of any modded map and the ingame.lvl file is not
needed as it becomes part of the side .lvl file.

You just put:

HUDTag = "0"

under the Properties section in the weapon's ODF. Unless this is something different...

This is something different, lol.

Off Topic: Instead of HUDTag = "0", you could replace the 0 with whatever you want. It's not a boolean (if that's the right term).

On Topic: He's trying to fix the icons so they appear next to the ammo number, not fix it so it doesn't have anything there.

EDIT: Z13 beat me to it, lol.

Nope, brand new sides. I'm trying to get a blue EMP grenade icon on since the other one isnt that great.

Getting a bit farther along. I now have it so both primary and secondary weapon icons show up in the proper place and no longer floating.

I will start work on a tut and sample files shortly.
Credit still goes to Mike Z for the original code and Majin Revan for his efforts in trying to get it going as well.

Nah the sides are fine, haven't you ever felt you are on the outside looking in? :D

Work is progressing on the tut and source files as well.
