Siege of Saleucami-Updated 6.22.09-

Siege of Saleucami
Beholdeth my first mod. It was started last summer.
It is set in a basin near the plain seen in Episode III, and just a couple days before Order 66. Quinlan Vos will make an appearance unless something goes drastically wrong.

I am hoping this will be better than most first-time maps.
Here's what I got:
Localization-80%
Terrain-90%
Objects-90%
CIS-80%
Republic-80%
Scripts, LUA, etc-90%
Overall I'm 85% complete

YET TO DO

Loadscreen
Add Neyo/Commander Droid
Change some Clone Commander Weapons and model
Add heros

Here are now a series of screens. I think I got a couple of pretty good shots. Agree?

It's not that you need to lighten the terrain, you just need brighter lighting in general. If you're having a hard time justifying having a lighter battlefield, add a moon to the skydome or something - right now you're talking about a lot of detail getting lost in the dark.

Actually you can find your way around, but it is a little like Kashyyyk in BF0, it just seems a little to dark.

Hey, looks nice. Not a lot of Saleucami maps out there. But why is there Quinlan Vos? He was never on Saleucami. And is that the 91st legion in the first pic? I can't tell...

Overall it looks like this will be a nice map. Good luck in finishing it!

Add a moon. A big moon, To justify lighter settings without leaving the night theme you've got going.

Looks nice so far! But I'd suggest changing the sky. The naboo stars look really ridiculous.

Heh heh...it's not Naboo. It's Coruscant. At least it is supposed to be. :?

The sky is the naboo sky.

And while it may just be me, but squares in the sky does not look like star. Two colors do not make up the sky.

sal was definitely a hard map to do lighting for if you want the lgt files for my sal seen HERE

You should change that sky (if you value your limbs).

You probably know that we had two saleucami maps in the past: one was pretty much a linear battle and the other was open, non-linear; so I was wondering, which kind of battle are we going to see on your Saleucami?

Any ideas of what vehicles will be in the map beside the BARC speeder bikes?

Might I suggest the Polis Massa sky? Its slightly lighter and would probably have the same night-time effect...

It may have ATRTs and it WILL have Snail tanks and STAPS.

As for linear or non-linear, it kinda depends where you spawn. A couple CPs may lead you to a wide open expanse, with only some debris and trees for cover, or you can spawn a another CP to go fight in a little vallet/ravine sorta thing, which can get pretty chaotic since that seems where most of the AI go.
