That space station bug is VERY annoying. It's a good thing that they released a demo. It wouldn't be nice to buy a game and find out that you can't play it because of a bug. Now there's still time to fix these bugs before the release.

I actually thought that the space battles were the best. i never had to blow everything up in order to destroy them.

You're lucky  I've installed the demo on two computers, and one of them has this space station bug. Space battles are fun if you can play them without any bugs.

i've downloaded EaW mods, I don't know if they helped get rid of the bug.

There's a bug that occurs on some computers where certain sections of the station are all but in impossible to hit unless targeted in the right order.

space battles for me are :
1. the map loads
2. i highlight my entire army
3. Use the minimap to target the entire enemy area
4. I leave and go eat and come back later to a "We are Victorious".

(also note :its helps to have 147 Mon Calamari)

Just installed a mod and tried to destroy that Diet Dr. Pepper station. I built a huge army with mon calamari, x-wing etc. and attacked. Well... when the station finally blew up 40 minutes later I had about 5 X-wings and millennium falcon left :D

The only way to destroy a space station that has no hard points left, but is still alive, is to attack it with fighters. For some reason they are to only unit that will attack it and do any damage.

But they are very useless against small fighters.
However 147 MonCalamari Cruisers should be enough to wipe out everything (also small fighters) ;)

Due to their AOE weapons, marauders can help blow the station up. Unfortunately, only mods have the ship and they tend to get targetted by any ship that sees them.

Laser', do you know the names of Star Wars : Empire At War mods which would allow the user to get Marauders in his / her fleet ? :|

@lev, i think bryants mod allows for marauders

@shadowman, i find space battles more enjoyable to replay in the demo, why do you say they sucked?

personally, i find them less complex and easier to manage than ground battles

and they're easier to manage if you only use a couple of unit types, may not be "good strategy gaming" or w/e, but hey, you can easily get by the demo mission with just neb-b's and corellian corvettes. i dont think i've ever lost a space battle unless i went into in purposefully not caring, trying to test something rather than win (and i usually won those too, :P).
