...hmmmmmmm...well....
I'm loving the idea of all the new planets, heroes, vehicles, modes, etc. all that stuff is sooo awesome.

But I'm uncertain about the whole character creation thing. I like the set classes as it is because I can see in the future people may exploit the character creation and make team organized builds of characters to get easy victories, but maybe not. It'll will be intresting what limitations they'll put on the character creation. Also if I'm not mistaken from the few screen shots it seems to me that you can set a color for your team to sort of play as "different legions", I noticed the AT-ST's having green shadings, bothan and wookiees among other troops having colored shaded ammo belts, pauldrons (sp?). I liking that idea alot. Overall I not that impressed with the visual look of it but its probable still needs to go through alot of development. Still undecided if I disappointed that it's coming out on the PC. Nice find anyway, can't wait to find out more details...
Also that giant chicken thing on picture four on ign looks awesome!

Might be SWBF 3, but the graphics look like crap. Hope those are just to test the game.

Or where they already deleted before you saw them?
On LA's SWBF2 forums, people are saying this is not SWBF3 but more of a preview of it.
As far as the new content goes, all of what they have on the official site can be modded into SWBF2 excpet if
customize soldiers' attributes is done in MP (it can be modded in SP, but who has the time?).

Uh....am I the only one who has come to the conclusion that LA asked pandemic to whip out a zero-engine sw game with PSP level msh's?
I don't know wtf the concept art is supposed to be.
And testing out the game? If they were doing that they might want to use thier existing library of zero-models.
On the other hand...It's been over a year since SWBF2 release, Pandemic and LA have both denies being contracted and contracting an SWBF3...could this be a sign of a good game rewarding the patient?

I think this new SWBF looks pretty good... But it's not for PC!!! That's bad. But the story, new maps, heroes and so on seems cool.
But hey, this can't be "the real" SWBF 3, I guess this is just some kind of spin-off for the PSP-players so they get something good (well, an SWBF-game anyway) for themselves.
Is it worth to get a PSP for this?

PSP only? Uh, don't they want to make money?

There are a few GOOD games for the PSP, until this year I found it to be a waste of money, but some new games have started to come out that are fun....

PSP version IS NOT BATTLEFRONT III. It's a separate spin-off. BF3 is in development by Lucasarts' newly aquired Rare team, remember?

Stop whining, guys. Let us PSP owners have a game worth owning the 250 dollar piece of junk.

it seems more of patch rather a sequel. Its definently no BF3 but though.
I agree on the model thing. Theres a mon-cal I see. It would be soooooo awesome if some the newer assets were released to the community.

Personally, I would call this SWBF for PSP, not SWBF3. Everysingle link iv seen or article iv read does not say SWBF3 simply SWBF-RS. I wouldnt lose hope just yet guys

If Pandemic/LA does not come out with a "real" Battlefront 3, I am certain this will eventually be released for the PC.

Yes, yes it is. Look before you post.
First
Moving_Target, then
Venom, then you. But anyways...
I saw on the
LucasArts forum that this game has only received one thread with people excited. The rest...well...you can guess.

here's an idea, if they never make something like this for PC, would a group of modders be willing to make the new models and maps (although probably not he customization) in BF2 to emulate this game?
just an idea, it could be the next big GT project.

But the news that was published was not on any other topic regarding Battlefront 3. This is the FIRST topic that actually has the details.
Notice: the news was published May 10th, 2007.
@Darth_Z13: I'm sorry for my over-reaction. I think you should of left your post just like that, excluding the rolling-eyes smiley. lol
