Swampspeeder help

Post by ruasoh »

has anyone had problems using the swampspeeder? For some reason I put in it the game exactly like the other vehicles and the game crashes. Is there something incomplete about the vehicle, or some super special effect or additive that I'm missing that I don't know about? I copied all of the ALL files into their respective folders on my new map, added the vehicle into the LUA, placed the speeder in the map. Is ther something I'm forgeting? Like I said, the other vehicles from the same folder are fine.

The vehicles fine, all you have to do is add it and all it's assets to a side.
You can't call it through the shipped sides because it's not included in rep.req
simple problem, simple solution

I haven't tried through a custom side yet but 1: not having the vehicle in the req shouldn't cause the game to crash, should it? Wouldn't the vehicle just not spawn? And 2: I actually added the swampspeeder to the req before and it still crashed. I will try using it from a custom side and make sure the req is updated. Thanks for the help!

It wouldn't cause a crash, but it wouldn't spawn, since it never got munged for the shipped side. It's the same deal for the Red ARC Trooper. Psych0fred said they purposely left some stuff out so we could 'discover' easter eggs like that. It's a common practice for developers.
