Some quick mats for stuff I'm working on.

That for 3D work?

Looks like 2048x2048, Color/Specular? and Bump Maps. Not water as the detailing is wrong, is it for terrain?

Here's two goes at a header for the site of the clan I'm in. Ew, something went wrong with the alpha channels on the first one... And I didn't realize how horrible they looked large . I'll have to continue working on those...

I was getting tired of my old background so I made a quick and easy fractal. These are so easy to do it almost makes me feel guilty. and here's another avatar involving fractals.

I'll just be changing my avatar so much people won't even know it's me...

yea fractals are easy but to make them look good you have to use them effectively,like you did. they both look great

Now I am starting to use my expensive photoshop to do stuff...

Not posted here for ages ^^. Idk what it is, and the only thing I can remember about how I made it was that it used the blend tool. Somehow.

If I may... The greenish part looks like a head, the bluish part looks like some sort of weapon, the pinkish part looks like has hand, and the reddish part is his shoulder So yeah, it looks awesome.

Yes the wikipedia article includes a broader range of different types of fractals. Fractals made in the GIMP are just a fancy rendering done by the program. GIMP lets you pick the design and colors and then it does the rest. If you want to know how to make fractals with GIMP here's a link.

lol, I sound like a wikipedia page myself.

Here is a quick Avatar I made tonight (used a Render on top of an Abstract background and added the "glow" around the Halo trooper with a few lighting changes).
And an update of my sig I made (fixed the blur issue and lighting and added the "glow" around the chief.
