I want to make a clone trooper (and maybe droid) with a lightsaber and the force.

Do I take a clone skin and give it a lightsaber and animations of a jedi?
and how do I do that?

Or do I edit the jedi's skin by copy-and-pasteing the clone parts on?

someone please help me :(

PS- I already looked on the help forum thing, and couldn't find anything.

Actually, its as simple as giving the clone a lightsaber via the odf.

Weeeell, you still have to reference the .combo file in the odf, unless you want to use luke's. One thing to try, because I tried to do this, and I didn't do something, so mine didn't work. Take a jedi, and just switch the geometry names, like this in mace's odf.

Code: Select all

[Properties]
ClothODF        	= "rep_inf_macewindu_skirt"

AISizeType              = "HOVER"

GeometryName            = "rep_inf_macewindu"
GeometryLowRes          = "rep_inf_macewindu_low1"

AnimationName            = "mace"
//SkeletonLowRes          = "macelz"
try changing it to

Properties]
ClothODF = "rep_inf_macewindu_skirt"

AISizeType = "HOVER"

GeometryName = "rep_inf_ep3trooper(or whatever you want)"
GeometryLowRes = "rep_inf_ep3trooper_low1"

AnimationName = "mace"
//SkeletonLowRes = "macelz"

You can delete the lines in blue.

Also, further down in the odf, there are what sound files he needs, you can either leave them, or change them to whatever you want.

Ok, thanks.

What program do people use to open .lua files?
Every time I try it says 'Windows cannot open this file'

Sorry Mods, no more signatures :(

I would use Notepad or Wordpad to open the files.

Notepad is best, wordpad can mess up formatting sometimes. :faint:
