Has anyone seen these before?

if you read the description (yes i know they are in german, but Testlaufen has got to mean test, it actually means test running :D same thing!), the first and second one are tests, so they probably weren't released. if you want something similar to the first one, try this:
http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... Star;60764
which is pretty much the same, but better really, its the same aspect of flying into space from land.
the second one, its a teleport (obviously ), but there are tutorials on how to set up teleports in the FAQ/Everything You Need Thread. never tried it myself, but i think its the same sort of thing.
hope this helps!

Smoke and mirrors boys, smoke and mirrors. The clouds are either just particle FX or models with no collision. It's not 100% terribly difficult to do - it just takes some imagination and previous experience. I can't speak for the other veteran modders, but I've never done it because I already can't stand huge battlefields - going bigger like this would make it worse for me.

Still, it was creative how he did it.

Agreed - but then again everything creative is just playing tricks on the player. Neither one of those is difficult (or complete, as you can tell, which is incidentally why you probably haven't seen them), but they're put together well enough to create the illusion of what they "purport" to do - which is a good thing. I liked the touch of the animation on the Stargate.

I could have sworn he was a poster here at some time, because I recognize the name, but he doesn't show up in member lists.

I'm just curious how he differentiated the landing areas so that you could land on the ground part but not in space (did he do it through landing regions) I doubt it though cause he was firing on the land part something which is hard coded. Anyone have any ideas?

Landing regions, like you thought. He didn't fire inside them, he fired into them.

Wait, he said landing in space was impossibe. But couldn't he put command posts in the Capitol ships, and add landing regions around them?

That's not "in space". When he said that you couldn't land in space he was specifically pointing out that this is what he did.

I knew it wasn't space, obviously he saw the Battlefront 3 leak. But he made it purposely made it so you couldn't land in space, right? But theoretically you could put landing regions in the ships, right?

Sigh. You misunderstand. He did land in the ships - you can see him take off from one just after. He can't land in SPACE - that big, black, inky thing outside the ships. There are landing regions wherever he landed. That is all you need to know. Everywhere there isn't a landing region he didn't/couldn't land.
