Strange BFBuilder Error

Out of the blue, it seems, I have been having critical problems with *almost* any map I munge. For example, if I munge a newly created map “ExKorriban” and open it up in SPTest (on Clone Wars era, but happens with both eras), it will load for a little bit, then shut down. The BFront log file reads as such:

Code: Select all

Opened logfile BFront.log 2006-03-05 1732

Message Severity: 3
D:\src\FRONTLINE_PC\FrontLine\Source\LuaScript.cpp(523)
OpenScript(ExKorribanc): script (d3127652) not found

Message Severity: 3
D:\src\FRONTLINE_PC\FrontLine\Source\GameState.cpp(804)
Could not open MISSION\ ExKorribanc.lvl

Message Severity: 3
D:\src\FRONTLINE_PC\FrontLine\Source\GameState.cpp(823)
Could not open mission ExKorribanc
There is one exception to this. If the level starts with the letter “a” (“aaaaa”, “AaxKas” both work), then it doesn’t have this error, and the level starts up fine.

What have I done? :?

I'd like to study the problem you've described a bit more precisely, Exclamation... Therefore, would you mind uploading your entire BFBuilder project, through either YouSendIt or SaveFile, so that I could figure out what may be wrong with it ? :|

I'll see about doing that...

I also found another twist to the puzzle. When I open the same file in regular Battlefront, it runs fine. Also, I can't open the Jabba's Palace map in SPTest, and it gives me the same type of error message as the previous map.

Exclamation, could you provide me informations related to the "SPTest.exe" file you're currently using, please ?
Indeed, if you're working with the original one - Shipping with Star Wars Battlefront Modification Tools -, then I would advise you to download its latest release, available at this Download URL.
On the other hand, if you're exploiting the one contained into the ZIP archive pointed above, then you should extract the previous one out of the "unsupported_swbf_mod_tools.zip" file...
