Question to all skinners
What is the best way to get good looking textures and colors for skins that looks real and not like out of paint. (not super complicated though)

Do you mean to make a realistic skin, or to download a realistic skin?

i know he maybe found this, but since i put the trubble in to it ill post it.
1- open gimp
2- open the file you want to edit. For me its the rep_inf_clonecommander.tga.
3- select the paint tool and change the opacity around 50%


4- Next select the freeforum tool

5- select the area where you what to edit

6- paint away

7- next save it withOUT RLE compression.
8- in you ***c_con.lua and add dc: in front of the ReadDataFile("SIDE\\rep.lvl", so it looks like this: ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\rep.lvl",
9- munge and play your done.
*** stands for you 3 letter map name.
