Hello :D
I'm looking for some maps from old SWBF1 gametoast mappacks (1, 2 and 3) converted to SWBF2 especially these two below:

-Eddie's DeathStar v1.0

-Death Star Trench Run v0.5

I like these maps, because they are a mix of space and ground figthts with a nice universe background!

Does anybody have?

Thanks.

Squipple converted many of Eddies maps, and released them in a "Squeddies mappack" :P

Death Star wasn't one of them though..... I don't think these have been converted, sorry.
I hope someone can prove me wrong though.

EDIT: What is this? The bf1 one or a conversion? I'm assuming it's the original...

The maps converted by squipple were the only ones that eddie had the source files for, if I remember correctly. The rest were just lost to time I guess. Shame, too, some of them looked really good.

I might actually have death star. Eddie gave me more maps than I converted, but I wasn't a fan of the others he sent so I never converted them. I'll check my backups tonight and see what I have.

nice to hear this, squipple 8)

about the Death Star Map (0.6), nice find The_Emperor! But this map is for SWBF1 too. I tested it and this 0.6 version looks very different than the 1.0. It's a small map. The color is a bit more "brown" instead of grey. Probably it's an unfinished map, but have some nice improvements too, many turrets and some bases. I took some more pics of the maps, just for comparison:

this map is really great!

-Death Star Trench Run (0.5) by konicon:
This is a bit simple, but it's still an interesting map, based on the same scene in Star Wars, A New Hope.

I really like the combination of air warfare and ground battles in these maps.

It's kinda funny -- I remember thinking those maps were amazing when I first played them. By the time SWBF2 came around they were really showing their age as some of the earliest mod maps made.

 For some reason those maps actually look really appealing to me... I'd definitely try them if they were converted to swbf2

I looked through my backups. The only thing I have that I hadn't converted is Jai Nollan. I couldn't convert it because It had too many objects in the map for SWBF2.

Xavious, I've played on these maps too and they are very well done. But the battles are just on the air.

squipple, I thought that this map had fewer objects on the scene compared to the earliest mod maps made for SWBF2... I don't know anything about map conversions :(
