IMPORTANT NOTICE: Those using Bandu's Mustafar models...

hey folks.
I downloaded and toyed about with all the cool mustafar objects and spent a good 6 strait hours deep into the night remaking one of my older maps with the objects.
In my efforts I discovered ONE fatally bugged object.
Lord Bandu's
mus_box
Will prevent the level from munging properly and you will get no modid.lvl aka map after munge completes rendering your map useless.
ALSO it prevents all of Lord Bandu's other msh files from munging during munge even if it isn't actually placed anywhere on the map.
this msh is fatally bugged, do not use it in a map...
Anyone else fiddled with them?
I have worked out my mus_box problems and have a propper munge again.
But this time the map crashes onload...
My Battlefront log...
Opened logfile BFront.log 2005-08-28 0433
Please help... this is ruining six hours of work.... GAH

is your question what else crashes your game?i think maybe clean it and then munge (dont know your mapping skill so dont kill me for noobish answers

) or its another .msh file.I placed also 2 objects in my todays upcoming map.The table and the conroom but the conroom has also a bug you can walk through the "screen" of this modle........

It's annoying
I made a map called
ARC: Mercurial Twilight
It's made entirely of mustafar objects to show off Bandu's work... but it doesn't run, and I put a good deal of time into it... -_-
Are there any other doomsday objects in Bandu's pack?

Right here.
About those models, I was in fact planning on using a couple of them in my upcoming map. (check out
this topic to read a bit more about it) But I guess I'll just have to watch out for that box, eh? Thanks for the heads up guys, that'll help me in the future. (I'd hate to make the map, and then it's suddenly ruined because of one little prop... that'd just suck...)

As another warning... there is another prop that causes crashes, but it is not nearly as fatal as mus_box.
Not sure which one cause I lost patience half way through placing one object... munge, test.... place next object, munge, test.... etc. I was going to compile a full list of working props in the pack, but got frustrated and just am using the ones i wanted atm.
MUS_BOX = Death
All other props either just needs to be deleted from the map or textured.

I think another prop caused me to crash, but I don't remember which one. I just tried placing it and... BAM! The computer shuts off completely. Took me two minutes to get it back up and running again. I don't really feel like going back and figuring out which one it was either. I don't need my computer to crash on me like that... scared the crap out of me actually. I thought something was seriously wrong with it, like a virus or something...
Just a warning. Watch out when placing the objects; you never know what's gonig to happen...
As for me, I'm sticking to the objects I know that work...

i know i downloaded it and used every thing in it and used it in my map and made some realy good stuff, stayed up till 12:30 working on it,
tested the map and crashed, gah and if it had not crashed my map would allmost be done but i had to spend a nother 2 hr's trying to fix it and take out all the mustfar props out.they are very nice, but when ever i put them in a map it crashes, kind of frustrating.

huh? hows this happenening??
all my objects worked fine for me. I dont know how these doomsday mshs have come about.
sorry for your wasted time but you should always make backups of your dataMod every 1 hour or something.
the control room does have a collision problem but i guess youl just have to live with it. I never was plannin on releasing these models so i havent gone thor all the steps i would have if i was goin to release them.
Anyway good luck weeding out the doomsday mshs

LoL these MSHs are superb Bandu, I just posted this as a warning for those using them. I fully intend to correct my errors and make a map to show off your props.
I don't think you'll be in a Readme Bandu, I'll stick you on my easter egg that will be forever encased in the map itself instead of a deletable README... or I'll do both

I'd say like 90%
I think there are only like 2 or 3 unusable items... will suck it up and compile a list for you.
I REALLY REALLY wanted
MUS_BOX
but it is the doomsday object... can you look into that MSH for me?

So the mus_box is the only one who ruins your map? Or are the other ones also ruining your map. (The ones called in this topic)
OOM-9 Maybe, if you still have that map, you could select all objects (except for the ones that are ruining the map) and select Alignment ---> Original, save the group and load them in another map.
