Sky has never used the underhand chaingun, he doesn't like it. :P

@Everyone:
Credit for the map should go to YaNkFaN, not me please.

Actually he just thinks its overrated + couldn't be bothered. It may get used as the Clone Gunner's weapon (currently using standard chaingun).

Yes the default Phase I clone skin is rather good isn't it.

Credit for the Siege Trooper's pack goes to:

Not to overhype this, but Myddria is amazing! The complexity of the structures, the incredible ambience and the overall orginality of concept are nothing short of awe inspiring!

After beta-testing Khimera Battlegrounds and seeing those screenshots, I'm starting to think Yankfan may be the best SWBF2 mapper nowadays (and one of the best overall mappers I have ever seen).

Your work with the units is also very good, Skyhammer, I'm intrigued by Dooku's Force Pacify power. :)

Seconded. :runaway:

Agreed. Can think of only a few others (definitely not me) in the same league (not counting maps using heaps of custom props). He's also fast (look at how many maps he's made since coming back to Gt...including the BF0/DS one(s))

So yeah, hopefully we'll see more great YaNkFaN stuff. ;)

My gosh, I know. He's basically finished a mappack and completed multiple maps for other people in the time it's taken me to properly adjust the terrain on one of mine. And it's all top-notch work.

Anyway, great work all around. All the maps, no matter who made them, are high-quality and I've always loved your sides.

i just want to say that this map was made before khimera was started and thanks for all the comments i really appreciate it but I have to say that sky's effects are amazing that force power dooku has is sick if that was only in bf2 that would be amazing. I will be making more maps for DS after Khimera is released towards the end of this month

Ok, just to check, do you have everything you need for my sides?

If not, send me a list of what you need.

I know you need the hero still.

Those maps are actually harder, you know that?

They are some nice screenshots, though, that one looks fun (although it's tough to tell from glamour shots what it really looks like). Reminds me a bit of Del's Raxus Prime (aided I am sure by Pandemic's Raxus assets).

Of course they are - but you can't really judge them in the same way since in one situation your seeing/judging someone's ability to make a fresh + coherant environment from pre-existing material (possibly with reskins), while in the other your'e seeing/judging mainly someone's modelling + texturing ability and their mapping skill.

Hope that made sense.

@DRK: Think so. Haven't got hero. Your legion will be in bu't don't expect to see pics for a while because the last two (probably) legons are getting implemented after I've finished all the republic heroes + HS units.

I regularly judge them the same way as part of my volunteer job at SWBFFiles, so I would disagree. Having played and done both ways, I feel pretty confident in saying "mapping is mapping is mapping." I don't adjust my scales for either kind and don't have any problems comparing Rome apples to Gala apples.

That is neither here nor there, though - it looks nice and I'll look forward to trying it (and others) out.

I meant judging the mappers skill/how hard the map was to make against that of other mappers...not how good the map is.

Now, random questions various people may be able to answer parts of:
1) What is the limit of addon maps (maps not missions).
2) How many missions do the following use?
-ConvoPack 2.2
-BFX Final
-Dark Times

1) that depends how many missions the maps have i think the average is 3-5 missions, i dont think theres a limit for "maps" you could reach because of the missionlimit, i hope i undestood your question correctly

2) I don't really know how many missions all three of those take up, but I have been able to put in about a dozen maps with all three of those mods installed.

I'm at about the same place as Ping. I have all seven maps from my Aldura series (each with CW conquest and eventually CW campaign), one or two other maps of mine (each with CW and GCW conquest, I think), and at least three other maps, each with a decent number of missions.

Is this some sort of model bug? Because Grievous' cape should be the opposite way. Or is it just like twisted around from running and stuff?
