hey guys...this forum is about BF2 so let's get to the topic
ok,I put the maps where they should be,the addons folder,yet the maps appear as...10X for example(the name of the file I think) can you help me out?

What exactly is the issue? The names of maps and mods in the addon folder will almost always be some three-character ID, e.g., ME5, BD2, SOL, TCW, PIO, XMS, AQT, OMG, LOL, etc.

I meant in game,in the instant action menu,it's like *** %s %s or something

Ah. What version is your game? 1.0 or 1.1? It needs to be 1.1 in order to properly read and run mod maps. http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... tches;6114

In 1.0 all mod maps don't have the full original map name in map list. As marth said you need to install the 1.1 patch.

Off-topic: I know. I am the one guy who had to ask: In which maps or mods there were the 3 letter names AQT, OMG and LOL?
Actually they sound interesting. I would like to see those maps^^

Since Filefront is limited to the US only, you'll need a US proxy to download from that site. And you're in luck, I happen to have a link to do just that.

no not the us only,it allows other countries and i tried proxy before,downloads at 5kb/s(i turn proxy off just before downloading)
@marth,thanks for the links!

what version of the game are you using the Steam version or the CD version. also the patch links given should help with that. The steam version already has the latest patch. If the patches still dont work then I recommend a clean reinstall.
