No primary weapon? machinima requirement [Solved]

just wondering what the best way is to remove the primary weapon and have the model still look good (eg. not walking around carrying an invisible gun).
This is of course for machinima purposes.
To be more specific, i want to modify 5 of the 'rep' side troopers to all have no primary weapon for walking around and a specific weapon for the secondary that they can switch to to arm themselves.
So far ive made a new map mod, replicated the endor map in it so its an exact copy and then modified the alliance side to be the republic side and chosen which troopers to use, this all works good, just need the emtpy hands now and im good to go.
any help would be much appreciated.

Walk around having an invisible fusion cutter then. Or invisible lightsaber, you pick.

Or an invisble pistol. It can be whichever you want really, you're the modder
If you'd want to know how to make an invisble weapon, you can search for it in the faq (hint: "how to hex-edit for transparacy") and make it completely invisble.

thanks guys, gave the fusion cutters but changing the hex as per the faq hasnt worked, still visable.

Really lazy?
Just equip him with the bothan stealth weapon.
(YOU are the one controlling him....right? if not, then u better edit some parameters to make sure the bots don't keep stealthing)

He's talking about the weapon, not the whole model.

where do i find this? searched assets for 'bothan' and 'stealth', no luck.

And did you search for invisibility? It's right in the alliance side folder.
