Teaser is out for the movie. Set for release July next year. It's looking pretty good. I'm excited.

I got sick of Spiderman thanks to the last movie. I also don't like the fact that they are rebooting the series again so fast. Maybe it will be good, I don't know. I am just tired of Spiderman right now, Iron Man and Batman are the last two superheroes I actually care about anymore.

Looks great! I love how they aren't blindly just remaking, word for word, the old Spider Man. This one seems relatively different.
Although the POV stuff looked pretty bad, to be honest.

Yeah, at points I had to remind myself I was watching a movie trailer not a video game. Which is kinda weird.

Reminds me of
Mirrors Edge.

It's a little weird to see a new movie reboot so soon after the last three, but that's not to say this won't be a good movie.

They need to touch up that first person segment for the movie. Right now it's not going to cut it. People have made the connection between Spider man and Mirror's Edge and right now Spidey is taking the heat for it. Which is stupid. People are just acting stupid for no good reason and just for attention.
Anyways about the movie. I do agree a reboot seems very quick in movie years, but it makes sense since spidey is the most popular super hero and super hero movies have evolved thanks to the first 3 spider man films. Did the 3rd one suck? Yes, but I'm not taking that into account for this film.
The reason for a reboot is because Raimi said FU to sony who wanted him right onto a 4th and out this year or next and it wasn't enough time for him to make it good in that given time frame. And I support him for it. Since Raimi quit the rest of the cast followed. So instead of having all new stuff with a 4 at the end a reboot was more fitting.

Kinda off-topic: A reboot of Batman is set to be made sometime within the next few years and it has nothing to do with TDK or Christian Bale.
On-topic: Wow, that first-person was dumb. And they didn't show any action in a trailer for an action movie? <Skepticism>

Silly fluffy, its a Romantic-Comedy, not a stupid Action movie.
/sarcasm.

The point of the FP view was to shock and amaze viewers and intrigue them into seeing the movie in hope of more sequences of that. Which I'm in favor of. Fighting in the first person movie wise just sounds bad.
@Wulf: Nice joke.

I think a few first-person sequences like that could be kind of cool, especially in 3D.

Ugh. I'm sick to death of superhero movies. Please make them stop filming these... Especially all these reboots and sequels. This is getting ridiculous. 10 years and they're already doing the same movie over again. I don't even care if it's going to be better. It's still the same movie to me. Remaking movies from half a century ago is one thing, but from just a decade ago? This is silly. If they didn't learn their lesson with the Hulk movies they never will...

I agree completely, at least there's Thor which I haven't seen yet, and Captain America coming up which look quite good. What I'm really hoping for though is for The Incredibles 2 to be made.
The new spiderman though, just looks too serious, and should be more comical like the original Batman with Michael Keaton was.

Quoted for truth.
Spider-Man is my favorite super-hero. I loved the first two movies. The third, not so much. Though I was skeptical about this reboot, I'm now looking forward to it due to the trailer.
It looks like they're going to do it right.

Boeing get use to more of them. Since they're very popular and that Hollywood is out of ideas they need to turn to the next popular media that's easy to translate on screen, comic books.
Videogames will most likely be next.

On this topic: They're making a Mass Effect movie and a Just Cause movie, but I don't remember what else.

Probably won't be watching this. I'll just watch the other Spiderman movie (Tony McGuire) again if I want this plotline...
