on utapau both cw and gcw uber mode has still the standard sides
has anyone got the same prob

EDIT: the same happens with endor, but thats not so important

The very nature of the mod dictates that it can't be played online unless other people have the mod.

Unofficial Patch was able to side-step this by making a small enough amount of changes so that it wouldn't affect how the game actually works. However, once you start changing how fast weapons fire, how much damage is done, etc. you lose online compatibility with people who do not have the mod.

I removed the P3 dark trooper and orbital strike binoculars for balance purposes.

Okay, it sounds like some people are getting problems. So here's the instructions for a MANUAL INSTALL:

1. Extract "Gamedata" folder to Desktop.
2. Go into "ADDON" folder inside "GameData" folder that you just extracted.
3. Drag "BFX" into "Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\ADDON"
4. Go into DATA -> _LVL_PC inside the GameData folder you just extracted. (BFX's folder)
5. Rename your "ingame.lvl" file inside "Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC". Call it "ingame2.lvl"
6. Drag "ingame.lvl" from BFX's "_LVL_PC" folder and place it inside "Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC".
7. Go into DATA -> _LVL_PC -> FPM inside BFX's folder.
8. Take the level files inside the CIS and REP folders and move them to their respective folders inside "Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\FPM". So basically, put the files from the CIS folder inside SWBF2's CIS folder and the files from the REP folder into SWBF2's REP folder.

EDIT: I just addressed the ARC-170 bug, it'll be fixed for next release. Or maybe I'll upload a "fixed" beta, that would probably be best. I also fixed the Utapau bug where the droid rifleman and sniper are missing. I didn't notice any problems with Endor, though. Also, I have a request for you people. Could you go through the less-exciting maps (Polis Massa, Endor, Jabba's Palace, Dagobah, etc) and see if there are any obvious problems?

But you're not even able to select Uber mode in Multiplayer. Or does it require anything like the Convo pack or the Unofficial patch before I can do that?

all the maps seem to work fine (havent played long on each map though)

i dont have the new sides on utapau and endor as i already said, can the convo pack (1.9 + 1.8.3 phoenix + 3 hotfixes) or the 1.2 patch be the problem or should i try to reinstall bfx again (i think ill do it right now)

i havent renamed any existing files, just replaced them with new ones, could that be a reason too?


EDIT: just reinstalled it and no changes, utapau and endor still misses the new sides :cpu:

i have sorta same problem "BUT" THE HOLE MOD WORKS FINE EXCEPT ARC fighter and uber does not apear in multiplayer OK now utapua it works fine i have commander cody its awsome

To everyone talking about their uber mode not showing up on multiplayer, it never has. I, think?, that the Convo Pack Shell makes it show up, but I'm not sure. But if your Uber mode isn't showing up, it's not a bug.

ARC i did verything you said to manually do it and it doesnt work.... i put add script in BFX too....

plz someone help i want to play so bad!!! if you have xp tell step by step of how.. please :runaway:

well i think!! if i am right try this it may help (NOTE: THIS MAY BE A TEMPORARY HELP) ok one thing that SHOULD WORK WITHOUT DOUBT . 1 take your bfx game data and places it BESIDE the regular gamedata!! BESIDE NOT IN ok now rename your first gamedata to old_gamdata and start the game it should run maybe only uber modes it might do both but this might help.

i have vista but there is a cp in network that does had xp and it does not work so i will see if i can find a fix

to uninstall just delet or rename the bfx gamedata to new_gamedata and unname the old_gamedata to its original name hope this help

York can you tell me which mods do you have installed besides BFX (1.2 patch? convo pack? which version?)

i tried uninstalling 1.2 but still had the standard sides on utapau, thats wierd
im starting to think its some part of the convo pack (perhaps phoenix or one of the hotfixes) that causes that problem

ok um let me think where is the convo pack i dont have that i just have the zerted shell and i also have vista the best thing i would say is redownload it JUST TO MAKE SURE NONE OF THE FILES ARE CORRUPTED if that does not work i will see what else i can do

i played it about a 3/4 hour, with xp, its awesome!!
i found some bugs:
- if you play as an imperail caommando and use range, you cant use any primary weapon, as long, as range is sellected as
secondary (maybe it applies to all range buffs, dunno)
- a lots of units seem to have secpondary weapons, that do nothing except an anim (sometimes a strange)
- the grenadethrow anim is wrong, it plays the dispense anim, when throwing any grenade
but i have to say: its awesome, durge is the best unit, i have played yet :D

the files are 100% working and ok by the way

i got it to work but some maps crash .. kashkkk and naboo...

EDIT: the unit counts are the same ive played coruscant dagobah and death star and its only 32v32 ???


other than that the mod is great improvement over v1 but i want more ai lol !!! GREAT

EDIT2: it seems as tho the conversion pack is overiding the unit counts...

1st bolded: It's a melee attack. Only works next to people.
2nd bolded: Hold down right click. It uses the throw animation and it goes farther.

It's actually a good deal harder to make an exe, especially when you're copying files to different places. To really appreciate the increased unit counts, I suggest you play Kashyyyk, Hoth or Geonosis.

EDIT:both hoth and geo have 32v32 whats up?? i have conv 1.9 i thinks its messing with the unit counts cuz there is no change with that...

Just wondering - how do you actually determine the unit count in-game? I've never encountered any way to determine it while playing before.

umm when you select class you can see how many units are that particuler class add up and you got it....
