Wanted to make one for some time and seeing some maps with what I always considered an incomplete model that was stashed in the assets really motivated me to start on something that should have been made a LONG time ago.
I honestly think this one could be knocked out quick considering as long as I can make the metal base texture I have work for it I think that with an AO pass and some details added here and there the texture could be quick. Gonna make the engines glow as well as any windows including the surgical suite which I added the window on one side.

I kinda love the Nebulon-B. Back when I had Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, the Redemption was in several missions, three at least. I played the game so much that it, along with Home One, ended up with a special place in my heart. Sounds weird, I know. I played this game a LOT.

I also love building them in EAW.

I planned to use the stock Nebulon-B Frigate or have someone in my team make a model of it, however do you plan to release it once it is complete? It would fit nicely in Battlefront III space missions. Well anyway, brilliant job on the model and I'm looking forward to seeing the completed model its texture.

Great model, it would work well for a Force Unleashed II level as well. There's a lot of detailed round objects on that ship and you've done a good job to keep polycount down without it looking blocky. I'm impressed!

I'm definitely going to release it, hopefully I can churn it out fast, UV mapping will probably be annoying because of all the parts in the front.

Rogue Squadron 2 is like the best game ever btw, the reason why I make so many ship models for this game is because of that game, I want to also do more capital ships, proper Mon Calamari cruisers and Star Destroyer eventually. The Corellian Corvette and Gallofree transports seem accurate enough.

The whole reason why I'm making this is because I see many space maps using the one in the assets which in my eyes looks like they never finished it or it was meant to be used as a dome mesh.

It's great to see you making this! You seem to have a knack for creating all the ship models that I'd love to see in SWBF2.

I can also relate to the love of Rogue Squadron 2. I put a lot of hours into that game.

Yeah hopefully I can work on it some more this weekend, being a mechanic at Honda my close friends and family always sucker me into fixing their cars so I've been working late for the past 2 weeks, part of on my own project car as well.

UV mapping this model doesn't seem like it's going to be very fun but I think the texture wont need as much attention as my last model (which I need to finish the video tut on). I think a good base metal texture, AO pass and details here and there will be enough.

I did always like this ship. I'm glad we're getting good alternatives to the stock assets, keep up the nice work.

I started to UV map it and I pretty much hate it because of how weird this ship is, I have a feeling I'm not going to spend a ton of time on textures for this thing.

No, it's too small of a ship to have hangars and I'm also a nut when it comes to adhering to the original design. It'll just be a frigate, just figured the rebels badly needed some variety. Haven't worked on this in a while, not motivated, wanted someone to help make a map to include some of the larger ships I was working on but no one reliable so far.

I was also hoping to get the new PS with a student discount but I think a second car is more important since the one I'm driving has the suspension of a GT car so it's not the most comfortable.
