WOW! I feel like a veteran to Battlefront 1-- or a Prisoner of Play, I suppose, because I love the game so much. 6 months of devotion, I hardly even got into my BF2 game, and retired it many months ago. I find BF1 to be much smoother and more "playable".
And I am excited as ever to hear so many people express thier love for the original! I'm completely stoked-- because I actually CAME HERE to try and resurge the interest in BF1 through the use of mods, online, and it looks like the resurgence of interest IS already blooming!
I fully support the co-creation of a Renaissance in online gaming for the original Star Wars Battlefront. THIS IS WHY I CAME TO THIS FORUM...
To inform you-- my Brothers (and Sisters?) of the Galactic Battlefront-- that stormclouds roll forth upon the horizon... I came here with intentions to facilitate a tempest of gamers who enjoy the original game to join me now in birthing a New Renaissance to online BF1 gaming.
I'm hosting some sweet mods that are a few of the Best that I've encountered, and I invite you to simply take a deeper glance upon the website of the New Renaissance... "We B.F.".
I'm brand new to Game Toast, and to this particular Battlefront community, so-- even though I now have found a small "gathering" of players who are devoted to, addicted to, or intersted in the original game, continuing STILL to procure new mods for it-- I don't really know if you guys multiplay SWBF1 mods online together. It sounds like we all want the same thing here.
Perhaps we might consider pooling our resources towards finding an affordable server, or-- at the least-- gathering online for some 4-Player PC-hosted mod games of BF1.
HEAR MY CALL TO ARMS, MY FELLOW BATTLEFRONTERS! If you've enjoyed the playability of the original Star Wars Battlefront, then come join the Renaissance as we blaze into new Battlefronts of the Old Game!

Off-topic : In my opinion,
STORMBRINGER, reading
all Rules currently applied on
GameToast Forums would have been
highly welcome prior to
any adding of messages similar to the one you have inserted above. Indeed, as stated inside
this local thread, "
bumping" and "
hijacking"
specific topics is
strictly prohibited, additionally to the fact you have promoted your
own web-site, which is a behavior I
no longer tolerate on the current Message-Board...

Leviathan-- I'd like to begin by thanking you for speaking as clearly and repectfully as you do on the forum.
Firstly, I'd like to say that-- having read the rules-- it doesn't seem that I'm violating any rule by posting here, right now, under my original screen-name of 'Yoda Spunk'. Because you may not know this already, I confide in you that I am 'STORMBRINGER', and I come in peace.
I have returned as 'Yoda Spunk' because my 'STORMBRINGER' account has been BANNED from forum, and I am left with THIS as potentially my only shot at getting the suspention lifted, as I cannot find a means to contact the Site Administrators of the Webmaster, as suggested.
In my "RENAISSANCE" thread, posted in the "SWBF1 General" forum, I titled it in all caps, with no disrespect intended towards any individual, nor towards the harmonic flow of a pre-established forum. I am sorry. But indeed this retribution for my mistakes, here, is unreasonably severe, as per even your OWN forum guidelines:
First Violation
On the first violation, a moderator will either send you a Private Message that will ask you to read the rules, or we'll do the same in the topic that had the violation.
Second Violation
You will again be asked to read the rules, then you will be placed on the staff's warning list. This list is not visible to users.
Third Violation
You will be warned in both public and private that your next violation will lead to, well, the fourth violation (read ahead).
Fourth Violation
On your fourth violation you will recieve a ban from the site for one week. After that week you can email an admin for permission to be readmitted to the site.
Because you, Leviathan, have chosen responsible and effective methods in moderating, I understand (through reading your replies to both this and the aforementioned thread) that you percieve my message to be duplicated in multiple threads across the forum. My perception AND intention was to respond to only TWO of the pre-existing threads which already resonated strongly with the same ideals as the replies I then added.
You said that my "behavior has not really favoured the Positive Feedbacks (that I) may have obtained by posting useful messages on GameToast Forums."
Firstly, all of the replies to my thread were favoured QUITE positively... until it was locked-down for having caps in the title.
My words clearly express that "it looks like the resurgence of interest (in BF1) IS already blooming", speaking of the "pre-existing energy and interest in heralding a New Renaissance into multiplayer BF1". This being the case, it is clear to me that my "behavior" was NOT ill-favored.
Secondly, my invitation to "co-facilitate a revival", "fully supporting the co-creation of a Renaissance in online gaming for the original Star Wars Battlefront" IS ACTUALLY a rather "useful message", despite what you suggest. The fact that so many people have already expressed these very same opinions in forum-- but all without a plan or structure to actually manifest thier wishes-- is testament to how "useful" and "innovative" my posts actually are.
I clearly mean to only inspire MORE enjoyment through using mods for SWBF1, which is what the underlying purpose of GameToast IS, anyways. I expressed that "we all want the same thing here", even suggesting that "we might consider pooling our resources towards finding an affordable server, or-- at the least-- gathering online for some 4-Player PC-hosted mod games of BF1".
SO, as you see, my goals are guniune... I mean not to simply "promote another website". I'll play on YOUR terms! I just want to play with other, like-minded gamers like the ones I've already met in the short time I've been here amongst the GameToast community. I'm really NOT trying to steal anyone away... I wish to ADD to your community. I actually started to feel that it was a safe haven. Ummmm... Whoops?
On another note, I do not feel that I "should have perhaps thanked -_- for having reminded (me) what sorts of acts are not allowed on this Message-Board". In this instance, such a reminder was as unneccesary as it was deflating to momentum that was built. Reread the thread ("Time For A New Mod For BF1" in the "SWBF1 Modding" Forum), and just see for yourself how derailing -_-'s posting is.
Anyways, I'm not looking for trouble. But it seems that someone ELSE over there on YOUR side of the fence is abusing thier "power" to restrict member privilages.
Look... I'm the new guy, but I'm not an idiot. Even if we disagree with what is "useful" and "innovative", CLEARLY I've not created such offense as to warrant prohibition against me!
This is retarded.
I know it... And I believe that you, Leviathan, know it as well.
I appreciate anything you can do to reinstate my 'STORMBRINGER' acount.
Thank You for your help. I leave in Peace.

Off-topic : Alright,
Yoda.Spunk, before engaging a Discussion which might trouble the proper organization of these Forums, I would wish to warn you that I have not proceeded to your
previous GameToast Account's Removal, as I
always take contact with the concerned user before making
Major Decisions. However, I guess that the Administrator having decided to do so must have had
valid and
understandable reasons to act like that, and the fact I added Comments inside the threads you posted messages in mustn't have favoured your case, no matter whether you didn't originally want to "
violate" Rules applied on this Place.
Moreover, the "
Forum Guidelines" you talked about earlier are
not my "
own" ones, as I have
always preferred keeping members of
GameToast Forums in the dark about the possible Restrictions I could apply on them, even though those you must have read in the thread I pointed you to inside my
previous message seemed to be visibly "
Official"...
Regarding the way you chose to follow in order to prove the
whole GameToast Community how making
Star Wars Battlefront reviving would be at the very least "
valuable", I don't think that posting a
similar content inside
different threads was really required, even though you were considering that they had
common "
ideals" with the replies you inserted in. Above all, although you didn't basically plan on luring
GameToast members into visiting your
own web-site in order to bother the local Authority, I prefer telling you that such behaviors are not usually allowed by
GameToast Moderators / Administrators, as this sort of processes are
mainly exploited by either Spam Bots or Advertising Companies, which are
both not that appreciated around this Place, as you must know...
Finally, in case you would wish to get back your
original Account or discuss about your current case, I would suggest taking contact with
guru, thanks to either
GameToast's "
Private Messaging" feature or this user's e-mail address : "
[email protected]"
See you soon,
STORMBRINGER !...

Yoda.Spunk AKA Stormbringer -- Leviathian didn't ban you. I banned you because you spammed the forums. Guru, the well, GURU of the site set the rule that spamming == immediate ban, and that was set loooong before Guru, Leviathan and I created the forum rules. Therefore, you will be permenantly banned, IP and all.

Off-topic : Yoda.Spunk / STORMBRINGER, in case you would be still able to watch the content of this topic, I would like to tell you that if you are really ready to bring or provide "constructive" elements to the local Star Wars Battlefront Community, then I guess our great guru will be enough wise to hear your plea and all the Arguments you could submit to him, and then decide whether you could be safely re-integrated on GameToast Forums, while knowing such a Decision will be only based on the will you'll have to prove us how wrong your banning's procedure was...
