I'm going to DVR it. If I get any free time it's all going to playing Reach.

Season 3 premiere just ended.
It was nice.
They aimed at making the premiere kind of emotional.

Great beginning to season 3, the clone cadets prequel to rookies SWEET! followed by a sequel to rookies. DOUBLE SWEET. I loved that they took the battle of Kamino from the original EU, and pu it into the new clone wars.Well written, well directed, well, well everything. Me and my dad have watched every episode together and we loved every episode. I keep waiting for the episode that disappoints me, and have happily disappointed at any lack of disappointment.

Totally agree, I loved it, but now this really is a spoiler so beware.
anyway, looking forward to a great season, second battle of ryloth next week, woot.
EDIT- the phase 1.5 armor on the ARC troopers is cool, but im concerned about the timeline, is this awhile after ep2? if not, who cares any way. "runs to set alarm to get up to watch the repeat"

I agree, they did a great job making the episode feel emotional. I almost sniffled when poor old 99 died. He was a good solider err... I mean brother. Next weeks episode I'm having second thoughts of because of obvious reasons..

Remember, Jar Jar has saved the day twice before. I wonder how humerous next week's episode will be.

I had some mixed feelings about these episodes, though they were overall good.
The good:
* Season 3 starts, after a good showing by Generator Rex and Symbionic Titan.
* 99. Sympathy switch, flipped on.
* Heavy. Not his character per se, but the fact that I shouted "RUN, COWARDS!" during the test, for an obvious reason.
The bad:
* More of a general thing, and I know the show is geared towards kids, but could we get some corrective eye surgery for our clones? The battle towards the end of the second episode seemed to drag because no one was hitting anything. It makes the clones look, well, incompetant. But then again, Star Wars is not military science fiction.

@plasmoidmonkey: For the bad, maybe they were trying to show where the stormtroopers got their shooting skills from.

I have to say, I didn't noticed this. The only bad thing that I complain is once again, Obi-Wan dueling Grievous. They had Shaak Ti in there, why use Obi-Wan again?
Anyway, both were solid episodes. "ARC Troopers" was my favourite, though.

I don't see why this is an issue...
They're setting up a twisted relationship between Obi-Wan and Grevious, showing us that there is a definate rivalry between the two, almost to the point of obsession. I think they're trying to explain why Obi-Wan so quickly jumps at facing Grevious on Utapau in Episode III. I read somewhere that the producers are trying to make season three focus more on backstory and character development, and this is a prime example.
Anyway, I'm definately purchasing these two episodes off of iTunes when they're available.

Did you notice during the trailers that they seemed to be focusing a lot MORE on ARCs this season? Besides, they'd only been in one episode up till yesterday.

I'm trying to see if my memory serves me correct.
Was Heavy the clone in that one episode who sacrificed himself to blow up the base being invaded by the CIS? Where the droids are like "Do we take prisoners," and then the clone is like "I...don't...*KABOOM*" or something like that.

So then the first episode of Season 3 was a flashback...That's what I was trying to figure out.

It would be better served to call it a prequel, they love jumping around the timeline. Something I wouldn't mind so much if they told us their chronological order. "Hidden Enemy" is a prequel to the clone wars movie, and there's a prequel to THAT episode in season two, i love that they did both a sequel and prequel to "rookies". there are always filling the gaps.

Did anyone catch this snippet of background dialogue in the first epidsode (I might be paraphrasing a bit)?
Clone 1: "So I says to her, we could really-"
Clone 2: "You've never even met a girl!"
I cracked a smile at that.

Ya, I did. My sister & I both laughed at it when we heard it.
