Ryloth: Fueling Station V.2
=====================================================
=====================================================

AUTHORS: MasterSaitek009 and Commander Nylad

-----------------------------------------------------
GAMETYPES:

Era: Galactic Civil War
Conquest
Hunt
Hero Elimination
1-Flag CTF

-----------------------------------------------------
STORY:

New Republic Intelligience has discovered a secret Imperial base
and re-fueling station for Star Destroyers on the planet Ryloth in the blistering hot, little frequented Bright Lands.
They have also discovered that Boba Fett did not meet his demise in the Sarlacc Pit,
and that he has found his way back to the Empire once again.
Leading the attack On the base will be the Jedi Lowbacca.
The Ryloth government feels very strongly about ridding themselves of this Imperial insult that has lain
hidden there for years. They will provide some of their specially trained Militants for the use of the attack force.
Currently there are no Star Destroyers re-fueling so all you will have to deal with is a rather large garrison
stationed on the planet led by the infamous Boba Fett.
May the Force be with you!

-----------------------------------------------------
VERSION 2 FEATURES:
New Unit: Special Operations Trooper
This soldier was developed by the Empire for solo missions that require versitility. Special Ops Troopers are armed with an RX8 Shock Pistol, the Shock Pistol has an option to fire a very powerful shockfield. Special Ops Troopers are also armed with mines and their fists.

-The AI can now use Heroes
-Created Lighting
-Blended the terrain so the hills are now not so sharp
-Custom Loading Screens
-Sounds working for all Vehicles and Weapons
-Re-textured some of the map to make it look better
-Changed Music
-Added a Mini Map with speederbike course (The course is the black line on the map).
And Much Much More....

-----------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION:
1-If you downloaded Version 1 delete it.
2-Unzip Ryloth_Base_2.0.zip file to your gamedata/addon folder.

-----------------------------------------------------

KNOWN BUGS

None Known

-----------------------------------------------------

Notes:
-There is a cool speederbike course in this map, spawn at the top CP hop on a speederbike and follow the black line on the map.
-All the changes made for version 2 were made by me, MasterSaitek009
-All the skins used except for the green Twi'lek skin were also made by me.
-I made up a division name for my Ryloth Troopers: The 759th Dust Devils. They are brown with blue highlights.
-Again (IMHO) this map really is the best it can be with the bots turned up all the way.

-----------------------------------------------------
Thanks to:
-Thanks to Archer01 for the Hero Support Script that I think is one of the best modding breakthroughs for Battlefront 2 in a long time.
-Droideka88 for the Sweet Twi'lek skin.
-Rends for the sound tutorial
-Zerted for the cool loading screen tutorial
-George Lucas for creating the awesome saga of STAR WARS
-Members of Gametoast.com for all their help, time and patience.

Very nice. I love how we can now fight alongside heroes, the AI are actually pretty good with them ;). The only bugs I could find were that the ATST gets stuck up the top of the platform, and the map has no localization for UK English. The map doesn't even have a name, so it's hard to find on the Instant Action screen. But apart from that, good job!

OFF-TOPIC: I could hear HK-47's voice in my head saying that...

ON-TOPIC: Map looks good, downloading.

@Linus Here is the tutorial for the Twi'lek Lekku that I gave Rends:
1. Go to data_ModID/Animations/SoldierAnimationBank/ and copy the template folder and rename it Twilek or something like that.

2. Now open the Twilek folder you just made and edit the .BAT file by right clicking it and hitting edit

3. It should say something like "side\rep" somewhere in it. change "rep" to the name of your side

4. You should also see that their is a mention to "aayla.zaf" change that to "twilek.zaf"

5. Now go into BF2_ModTools\assets\animations\SoldierAnimations\Aayla.

6. Copy the Basepose.msh that you will find their.

7. Paste it into data_ModID/Animations/SoldierAnimationBank/twilek

8. Run the .BAT file that you edited. Now your basepose/Anim set should be in your sidename\munged folder.

9. Add this line to your units odf SkeletonName = "twilek" (If it is not already there).

10. Run Visual Munge and Run battlefront 2.
Hope that helps,

Guys a patch is out on Star Wars Battlefront Files. Basically it's supposed to fix the localization problems, but I still found quite a few errors:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v739/ ... errors.jpg

Also an object misplacement:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v739/ ... cement.jpg

And VERY long shadows, a big lag causer and very unattractive:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v739/ ... hadows.jpg

Other things I found:

1) No sound for Boba Fett's EE-3.
2) Heavy trooper has no first-person geometry.
3) Shock field doesn't work.
4) Hunt mode crashes during load-up, but cloneknight's already mentioned that.

Hehe, I love Chewie's new 'attack'. ;) A new hit effect wouldn't go amiss though.

Compared to the first version (which was worse than bad) this is a f...antastic map, the skins look nice and create a feeling of a true legion, for they're different and similar in the same turn. The terrain is simple but challenging.

There's only one problem: The map crashes upon selecting sides

Could you guys who have downloaded the core.lvl patch be bug testers for me? Just try to find all the bugs in every gamemode (e.g. EE-3 sounds not working, shadows are to long and laggy) List any bugs that you find even if someone else has already mentioned them. Please make sure that they are real bugs and not just new stuff you would like to see in the next version. And also could you list what language version you are using. If the map makes BF2 crash to the desktop just start BF2 back up and try it again. It usally works the second time, weird... This is a great help guys, thanks 8)
