Sorry that the other topic is locked, it always bugs me when topics like that are locked.

Anyway, what you'll want to do is:
a) Make sure that all instances of the texture are changed to 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
b) See what happens.

If that doesn't work, then
c) Remove alpha layer from the textures (there is one on the corridor tga, although I still don't know which specific msh you're talking about)
d) See what happens.

If that doesn't work, then
e) Make hallway_envmap entirely black (or entirely white, not sure).
f) See what happens.

As you can see, there's a lot of fiddling around. Try and let me know.

Well it definitely isn't shiny. I'm thinking maybe it's some of the material RBG or specular hardness info that is in the MATD DATA chunk. But I haven't had much success before with this, I remember in the past something about tantive hallway colors not matching.

Yes, looking at the data chunk in a hex editor, it appears different from a standard msh material's values. Not a guarantee, but you could paste over another matd data chunk from some other msh file overwriting and see what it does. Also note there are like half a dozen materials in that msh.
