Making Trailers

Post by Nova Hawk »

Hey, I was wondering... how do people make fan trailers for different games? Like I wanna make my own trailer for BF2 like maybe my favorite maps and add my own music to it, but I dunno how to record different shots and so forth.

Could some one please tell me how to do it and what type of program I should use? Thanks.

Well to start out with you need a video capture program. Some good ones include, FRAPS, HyperCam and the video capture feature on Xfire.
After you record your video you'll need a program to mash your music and your videos together with. If you have Windows Vista or XP you already have Windows Movie Maker. WMM is pretty intuitive, just add your videos and music and then export it to one of several video formats. Happy recording.

I'm not sure I'd go with Hypercam for recording unless they've released, a new, better version.

So true. Besides, if you dont pay for it, its got an annoying little sign in the corner...
Can Hypercam even work ingame?

Yep, but here's the effect.
I would recommend Xfire Video or Fraps.
