Localizing problems [Solved]

Post by sampip »

I've checked out a few tutorials, and by now, I think that to localize your custom side (kac for me), you need to create a key for it in entity (?), and name it *** (the name of your side), and in that you would put your units. Same thing for the weapons (except in the weapons folder).
1. Is this right, or should I be doing it differently?
2. I can't seem to enter a new name for any of my units. The box is grayed, and won't let me click in it:

3. Is there a quicker way to localize my weapons, without having to create a new key in the weapons folder and so ALL of the weapons again, or can I copy them across or something?
Thanks!

the reason the box is greyed is because you are under uk_english if you select just english the top box will not be greyed
typing in the name of the thing where you have it is fine
I also suggest checking localize when you do custom localizations that's always worked for me

Thanks! But presumably you're supposed to localize in all languages, cos I think my game uses UK-English as a default on my computer :?, and is there a way I can change this?
So I did get the other bit right?
EDIT: Yes I did, it's worked, thank you so much!
