Hovernaut Self Destructs?!

Okay so I'm doing this really weird mod right now, and it includes replacing the AT-TE Walker with a Hovernaut. On the Stock Geonosis Map, where I'm testing it, everything starts out fine, but the AI avoid the darn thing like the plague until I, the player character, step inside the vehicle. Then, as I drive a certain distance away from the spawn point, it just explodes. No rhyme or reason, it just goes boom, like a bad comedian's light night act. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? :cpu:
