hi all
Is it possible to make objects temporarily invisible?
I'm building a spacemap where the allied fleet is in hyperspace and arrive after a given time. Like the start of the battle of endor.
While in hyperspace the fleet must not be seen or act upon. However the fleet must be on the map.
I'm using animation after a time elapse to move the fleet from a far corner of the map to a desired location.
The fleet does not contain any players or AI and i make sure it's out of range of any weapon.
While in hyperspace, is it possible to make the fleet invisible or hide it some other way?

I solved a part of the problem.
I destroy the objects at the beginning, respawn them later and then use animation to move then to the right place.
There is one problem though.
Any hull-part of the cap ship (in this case the moncalamari) won't respawn. Also some objects are replaced by an "destroyed"-object. Like the engine when blown up is replaced by an engine with a burned look. This also goes for the bridge and turrets. The hangar doesn't disappear at all.
Does anyone have an idea to work around this?
thnx
