For it to work underground it needs terrain cutters.

They're the little purple boxes you see on some objects when you place them in ZE.

I assume your'e using XSI.
Create a box under the dummyroot and name it terraincutter. Then hide it with the H key. The box will cut a hole in the terrain whereever it meets the surface of the ground. So make sure you place it carefully. That will get the ground out of the way for you so you can keep building downwards. I'm 90% sure this is right.
As for the prefab house, anything exported with MshEx will not appear in 3D converter and can not be converted through Mesh Importer. Rep explained that it had something to do with not including some junk in there when he was writing mshex or something.

Okay, make your model in XSI, for example, a tunnel.
Then make another low poly model of it inside and call it "terraincutter" (minus the "s)
Then make a null called dummyroot and place the two objects under it so the dummyroot is the parent.
EXPORT.
Make a default prop odf naming the .msh you exported.
Place the .odf in the worlds odf folder and the .msh in the msh folder.
Start up ZE and load your level.
Go to the objects tab and load the .odf of your terrain cutter and place it.
~~~Done~~~
I dont make XSI models. Really, could someone just tell me how to cut a hole through the raised terrain in ZE if possible?
Then you can't. You have to use a model with a terraincutter to cut through terrain.
Dang. Then could someone please help and make or give me a link to a terraincutter model?
A house in a hill? What? Don't tell me you're making terrain changes, because you can't submit altered terrain for the DMI map.
This brings up an interesting point, however... Would it be possible for someone to make a model that is nothing but a terrain cutter? Then others could sink models (like houses) partially underground and then place the generic terrain cutter object in ZE.
The cutter could be scaled with bconstructor or multiple terrain cutters could be used to cover bigger/strangely shaped holes. Would a generic terrain cutter object be possible?
There are two terraincutters in the geo assets folder. I am not sure what shape they are I will look later when I get home.
They are called geo_prop_terraincut01 and geo_prop_terraincut02
I think those are those underground places on geonosis.
Yes they were but could have been used in a pinch but now there is no need have a look in the released assets topic I made some quick cutters.
Oh and it was mentioned in the various DMI topics that the terrain is pretty much set as there is no way to incorperate everyones different terrain height changes.
Well, no need for the terrain cutters since I cant change the terrain height. Thanks for all your help though.
