What do you think is the most balanced stock map?
I say Tatooine.

Hoth, I think is quite balanced...

Mos Eisley is the most balanced stock map : there are enough buildings ( to prevent snipers and wookies from killing everyone) and long streets (to prevent close-quarters combat with engineers only)
In multiplayer, Hoth is the most unbalanced.

I thought of singleplayer, because I didn“t ever play Hoth MP

Either Mos Eisley or Mygeeto. Every mod I make is always tested in Mos Eisley.

Kamino, Naboo, or Mos Eisley. Multiple routes to every single CP.

I actually feel like Mygeeto is somewhat unbalanced. My experience has generally been that the CIS/Empire can easily secure a 3-2 advantage in CPs, then repeatedly neutralize (and often capture) the Republic/Alliance CP in the big plaza area. Sure, it's possible to win as the Republic/Alliance, but I have to put in much more effort to do so.
I agree with Mos Eisley for sure, though.

i would say mygeeto, mos eisley, and dagobah. with all of the trees and swamps in dagobah i don't think the starting point matters all that much.
i don't think kamino is that balanced though, one team always has a better sniper position than the other. usually its cis and alliance for having the top cp with the bunker with invisible collision in some spots so you just hit air and then they point at shoot you dead, though there are a few good counter sniper locations.

I remember the imbalance on Dagobah when I would do Galactic Conquest on the PS2. The map is in favor for the Imperials, the X-wing/swamp CP is in a
horrible place for the Rebels to defend, and a great place for the Empire to retake it any time you manage to take it.
Mygeeto, I don't know. I would say it's one of the best maps, but I think Mos Eisley is better. So my
final answer is Mos Eisley.

hmm the x-wing cp, i kinda thought it was a pretty nice place to defend, hills and water to cover in, trees to hide behind, rocks and even an x-wing to take cover behind, guess its a bit different when playing single player.

Any space map is balanced...
In all seriousness though, Mos Eisley is balanced, and so is Coruscant, at least imo. The most unbalanced map would have to Kashyyyk though (MP).

i would have said space but then i noticed that its completly unbalanced, the a-wing and tri fighters give their teams an advantage and in most cases the ships aren't level, they are usually higher or lower than another, the lower one would have an advantage of having its turrets on the top of the ship be more useful and also for its ships to dodge the enemy turrets.
coruscant is very very very very VERY unbalanced for the team who starts in that room connected to the library by that computer room thing, its a death box there. no matter what you do your units just charge through that hall trying to get to the councel room but they never make it

You have to know how to play Hoth.
Rebs can use turrets or fighters (with or without mines) to quickly take out Imp's vehicles. Once that's done, Rebs can win with simple sniping (but normally spawn camp with fighters

).
If Imps take out Reb's turrets and fighters, they can dominate the map. Especially with the use of remote rocket.
If someone's using remote rocket on any team, you want to take that person out. Remote rockets are an great way for one player to defend every CP on the map.

Yes, Hoth battle can be won by both teams, but the battle is still unbalanced :
- if the AT-AT are destroyed before they can fire on the rebel cp , then the map is very unbalanced, as the rebels have the speeders : that means air superiority.
- if the AT-AT's pilots manage to destroy the speeders , then the map is unbalanced, as the ATAT can fire on the rebel cp and get many spawnkills.
So you are right and I was wrong : the battle of Hoth is a balanced unbalance !!!
Sorry for my bad English.

Mostly agreeing with THEWULFMAN here...Mygeeto is inherently imbalanced because it doesn't have an even number of CPs. It can tend to be hard to win with rebels there in Galactic Conquest. As for Dagobah, if you've ever tried to get through a conquest match there without dying (playing as republic or rebels) you'll find that it's nearly impossible, because it is so imbalanced...and not in your favor. You almost always end up at the end with all 32 AI plus a few reinforcements on the enemy side trying to take you out. The only way to really win it without dying is to sit in a certain place in the swamp, mostly submerged, and pick off the enemy as they come through a choke point, defending one of the middle cps which your teammates tend to otherwise be absolutely incapable of holding for more than a few seconds. Success rate for doing that is about 1/10.

i think we could test to see which map is the most balanced scientifically. we should put up a locked dedicated server playing on map at a time with 32 ai on it on each team and see which group of ai wins then also repeat the trial using ai on another difficulty and also using different amounts of ai and then test it like that for each map in question about 3 times then we find out how close the scores of each team were by the end of each game.
