Hullu.
I have a big problem...I want to have more than one geonosian playable for one side. (loaded out of one side)
so far not my probelm, but they have all the same texture. I want them to have a different texture. I tried to override texture them, but now they are invisible, only the wings and the blaster are visible.
Vid here.
Any ideas what else I could do?
Note: The msh is hex-edited by DEVISS-REX

Re: Invisible playermodel
Override texture command only works for models set up for it. most likely the geonosian model does not have it set up, your gonna have to hex edit the XSI (unless the geonosian is infact set up for the command.)
though don't qoute me on it exactly, im not 100% sure, just 90%

Re: Invisible playermodel
well.... meh, did not quite understand what you ment by xsi edit when you said override texture... but that may have been me
make sure that you matched the name correctly on the msh name/ make sure you acctually renamed the msh (i have done that once, sadly =P)
make sure deviss did not add a opacity changer to it (or basically how to change the opacity and visibility of the model in the game based on certain color specified)
don't know what else to say, not much of an expert in this field, but sometimes the simplest of mistakes is the cure...

Re: Invisible playermodel
easiest way to do since your are making a custom side anyway is to copy the geonosian file, rename it, hex edit in the name of a new texture (following rules for hex editing texture names) and in the the second geonosian odf you must have already created put in the name of the renamed msh. See simple

Using the same model, but with different textures

There's more to enabling an override texture than simply naming the MODL chunk the right thing:DEVISS-REX wrote:i opened the geonosian model and the OTH_geonosian MODL chunk (model whole XD) i renamed to override_texture and after in odf he added overridetexture line for use same model , different textures
