Breaks? Had a 3-4 month break a while back, then I got really bored and came back.

Re: When did you last fire up SWBF2?
I would play SWBF2 for a couple of months, mod it in that time, then discover Mount & Blade. A couple of months later I'd get bored of that and fire up BF2 again, mod it for a couple more months, then discover Mass Effect. I would never get bored of that but still look to play something else after a couple of months, and so I would go back to BF2 and mod it until I stumble on Dragon Age or The Witcher. Et cetera, yes?
I'm in a BF2 swing atm, so I've last played it maybe an hour ago.

BF1 is nice to fall back into. May not have great unit mobility, but the "simplicity" of the game is rather relaxing for me.Eggman wrote:That it does. My roommate and I occasionally pop one of the games into his PS3 to play some splitscreen matches when we have a bit of free time, and we generally prefer the first game.Fusion wrote:I actually played the first one a few days ago. Still holds up.

Two days ago, but only to test my map. I'll fire it up again when RAS Prosecutor comes out.

Re: When did you last fire up SWBF2?
I play whenever I get discouraged while modding. Usually Dark Times II or BFX. Sometimes I go online and try to convert people to mod maps, but some don't even want to download a mod map or mod. I try to explain to them how much they add to the game, but they're fine with it as is. I mean, STWBFII is a good game, but mods make it even better, I mean, you can be a Magna Guard with a freaking electro staff...erm...yeah. So, pretty often, because I'm actively modding.

I still haven't played it in a while, but according to Steam I just played the Battlefront 3 Beta last Tuesday.

Re: When did you last fire up SWBF2?
In January, so 6 months ago. Right after I got this computer set up, I decided I'd get back into it. Didn't work, probably because the next day I bought Minecraft. I've brought up the game since then, but I haven't actually gone past the menus.
EDIT: RAaaaaaRRAAAgh. If it weren't 1am and if I weren't so tired, the nostalgia wave would have me playing right now.

And here is one of the reasons, ok the main reason I don't like Minecraft all that much. Its way too addicting, thats exactly why I don't play it.
Oh, and one more thing: I'm in space.

And yet, here we are, posting on a site dedicated to modding a game that is 6 years old...

I mean no insult to the game, I am mainly joking. Mainly.
Anyway, to get back on topic I just played SWBF2, I am testing my new large scale era mod.
Yes.... another one...

I think he's coming to BF2's defense rather than Minecraft's by suggesting that BF2 is addicting.THEWULFMAN wrote:Twilight_Warrior wrote:And yet, here we are, posting on a site dedicated to modding a game that is 6 years old...THEWULFMAN wrote:Its way too addicting, thats exactly why I don't play it..
What a surprise that you, the creator of the GT Minecraft server, would come to its defense.
