Lol, I got too much spare time, so I made this:

A long metal pole.

Yup.

Doesn't get any much better than this.

Anyone can use this weapon, mostly civillian though.

Its got envmap, so at least its shiny in the sun.....like the quite good pic above...

Ok, running out of stalling lines,

-Textures are 64 x 64 grey to-some-degree

-RepSharpShooter's Meshtools4(and MshEx probably) allowing envmap.

You can do a lot with a steel rod... <Evil laughter here>

Very nice pole. It's extremely polish. It's got that look around it that says, "Here comes a long bar of metal." A mechanic's best friend, no doubt. It's so mundane that anyone can use it. Indeed, it is excessivley mundane. It can boost a map's mundaneness ratio just by existing. Very well executed, Coda. Expertly handled....

....I'm running out of stalling lines.

I've seen my AT-OT, the DC-15 Side Arm and a huge yavin temple with interior lately, all produced in XSI, but i must say, they're nothing compared to this model. The finesse, the detail.. Looks amazing!

Tip for users: for a big variety, you can use a real metal texture with holes, and apply a bumpmap. This will make this model even more detailed ;)

Haha, nice! This could be used in a ton of different maps.

I wonder if it'd be possible to put a lightsaber blade on one end...

That ought to be possible. In order for any weapon to hit, the creator needs to put an hp_fire on somewhere, and you can add a saber blade to it via odf parameters.

Unfortunately said hp_fire's are placed INSIDE the staff.

So instead of a bladed spear, you would get darth mauls doubleblade, but INSIDE the pole

I'm pretty sure you can hexedit the locations of hps.

I don't have the least amount of experience in hex-editing. I guess I'll just have to make my own.

But actually, if you make the blades long enough, they might stick out! Just like a realistic lightsaber technique! The blade starts from inside, and works it's way out! I wish all other Lightsaber hilts were like that. Oh woe...I'm downloading this.
