who says that it will be anything like swbf1 though? that is my biggest fear that the tools will be completly different from the last ones, but it will just take time to learn.

I hope they have a more user firendly interface. They could make editors for the LUA and other things, as well, that would be nice.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there are TONS of stuff to learn. For example, the diffrent game modes, objectives, objective time limits, weapon capabilities... you know.

I don't think Pandemic Studios has planned on releasing their own "Visual Studio" intended to program in LUA language... (Moreover, scripts based on it can be opened in Notepad !) However, you can start getting more informations about it on its official web-site... (It might help...)

Jan 6th may still be the date. Official releases are usually on a friday arnt they?

The game still uses ODF texts so Im betting they will be pretty similar. Lookin forward to making objective based maps .... itll even be possible to make our own single player campaign mappacks :) (hopefully)

Is it a personal wish or a real fact, Bandu' ? :| (It'd be a great feature if it was the case...)

Well , Im basically saying it might be possible to make objective based maps (like the ones in SP where you have to destroy turrets then collect a crystal etc) and then kinda make a story out of the maps when played in order.

eg. map 1 space map .... a number of objectives to bring about the destruction of a planets defensive fleet.

map 2..... atmospherical flyer map ...... do this ,do that blah blah blah

map 3 ..... infantery ground map .....take out defensive positions and attack enemy base.

it all depends whether it is possible to edit the objectives from the game (basically type in what you like) ..... I dont see why it shouldnt work. Obviously you wont have the Jango actor guy sayin stuff tho ;)
