Missing objects [solved]
Me again. So I put a few objects in ZE just to test it out, a few barrels, health/ammo droids, and a trench. All the textures appear in ZE and it looks fine, but when i munged and played the map, the barrels weren't there, and the place where the trench was set was replaced by a trench-shaped hole in the ground. The only objects that showed up were the health/ ammo droids, so i'm guessing it's something to do with how I copied the objects from the Hoth folder. I don't really know what else to do, since I already copied the entire hoth folder into Common.

Re: Missing objects
put all of the files into common? i put an odf, mesh, and effects folder into my worlds folder. (modtools/data_###/worlds/###/) right in the folder that contains the folder called World1. i guess it works both ways though.

Re: Missing objects
Not sure if this will help, but the props and world files usually go in BF2_ModTools\data_***\Worlds\***\msh or odf, not the common folder. Try that for starters, and be sure you're not removing any options when munging

Re: Missing objects
Don't copy anything in to Common: everything in there is already in the ingame.lvl and won't get munged. You must place props in your "Data_ModID\Worlds\ModID\" for it to work.

Re: Missing objects
Not really, you explained why it won't work, I couldn't answer that and it's important to know why something breaks, not just how to fix itsim-al2 wrote:Don't copy anything in to Common: everything in there is already in the ingame.lvl and won't get munged. Re: Missing objects
Just to picky, not sure if that stuff is actually loaded from ingame.lvl or common.lvl.
But, anyway, stuff in common folders doesn't munge.
Edit: Wait I take some of that back, some things like scripts reside in Common and do munge, but others don't. Must stop contradicting myself.

Re: Missing objects
Yes, i guess the files would have to exist to show up, wouldn't they? I'll try that when I get the time
EDIT: Wait, so I copy the folders into that directory, or the files? The only folder I see there is World1.

Re: Missing objects
Take a look at any shipped asset world1 folder, then in your maps world1 folder create the same directory structure then copy (not move) the files you want to the appropriate folders for your map.
