You could always download one of the trial versions in the sticky at the top of this forum, like XSI 4.x or 5.x and install the original Pandemic exporter and try.

Adding Cloth on Static Meshes

Post by noMatt »

I know i asked that before but the topic is unsolved and writing another post in it is against the 30 Days rule.

Is it possible to add cloth to Props?
And if how?
Thanks for any information about that

EDIT: Lol someone moved my post so it seems to be ok to post in own threads after 30 days

If someone else were to come across your old topic, and was interested in knowing how to add cloth to props, and saw that there was no answer on how to, and they posted something like, "I'm also interested in knowing how to add cloth to props," then do we, the staff, just tell this person that bumping topics older than 30 days is against the rules and that they should just create a new separate topic to ask the same thing? No, because it would be pointless. This is why members are usually directed to older solved topics that address the same things they inquire about. In your case here, you already knew about this older unsolved topic, and hence why the two topics got merged. Also:
Site Rules wrote:...
  • Don't Resurrect Old Topics
This one is important, but is defined by the following:
    • A topic that is older than 30 days
The exception to this rule would be if you have useful information to add to an old topic, or if a sticky topic points to the thread you're resurrecting.
...
Pointing out an unsolved topic and asking for it to be solved is considered useful information.

Put AttachOdf = "clothOdfNameHere" and AttachToHardPoint = "hardPointNameHere" under it in your prop's ODF.

This thread is not unsolved, you just need to read up on how to add cloth in XSI. The steps are the same for props except you won't need cloth collision.
