Hey,
I've modeled a Resistance Helmet and want to replace the helmet of the rebel vanguard with it. I am not sure how to do it but would love to learn.
Here's what I have done so far:
Now all I need is to learn how to attach it. All help is appreciated!

I believe you need to select the helmet, go up to animate>envelope>set envelope, then select bone_head or whatever the name of that closest bone is, and then say yes to the popup. Oh and make sure the helmet mesh is under the dummyroot but not (I don't think) override texture.
That's all assuming you're doing this in xsi of course.

Yes I will be doing it all in XSI!
Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes

Make sure before doing the envelope, that your helmet's transforms are frozen.

So I have successfully attached a new helmet, but I am trying to replace the head of the stock rebel soldier. In mshviewer it looks perfectly fine, but once it is in game, it looks like this:
He's constantly looking down, I attached the head of the model to
bone_head &
bone_neck, then I attached the goggles to
bone_head. If anybody could tell me why he looks like this and how to fix it I would, very much, appreciate it!

I am no modeller, but it looks like the goggles are in the right position so, if I were you, I'd probably try to attach the head to the head bone only.

Tried attaching it just to the head bone, and well...
You can see his neck is a little out of whack
