im not sure about the Wii as i have never played it. but on the otherhand i got the 360 2 months ago and all my years with sony playstation 2 and 1 just went out the window. i thought what have i done all my life without the 360! its a great consol you can listen to music on it, watch movies on the hard-drive look at pictures and play online just like you would on a PC but its easier because of the control.
the gaming on a 360 is AWESOME! trust me i am picky with games but all the games i have played on the 360 own! and the good thing is that most xbox games can be played on the 360! the graphix on the 360 are top draw. i must say that most of nintendo's games are quite childish but with the xbox 360 their is a great mix of genres and age ratings!

by far i would say XBOX360 Pwns Wii (but thats IMO because im not a nintendo fan anymore as my old gamecube was very disapointing)

your choice...

I'll be getting a Wii for Christmas (I've already ordered it from Currys, but I get the feeling that it's going to take weeks to arrive), but then if I have the money I reckon I'll get an Xbox 360, they're both awesome! Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess apparently has 40 hours of gameplay in it. Coupled with the fact that I always love to explore every nook and cranny within a game, I can see it keeping me very busy for a while until the 360 price drops. Then there's always Battlefield 2142 to keep me occupied, which I STILL haven't bought :D.

The Wii has potential to have excellent graphics; I mean, look at Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike for the Gamecube. I thought it looked absolutely amazing. High-poly models, awesome effects and hundreds of enemies on-screen at the same time, and not a hint of dropping framerates. If the Gamecube can do that much, then imagine what the Wii can achieve. The only launch titles I expected were going to be good for the Wii were LOZ: TP and Red Steel, and Red Steel got a bad score at GameSpot, not to mention a low framerate. So I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Doesn't anybody read my posts? I've said this about 4 times to all different people:

That doesn't mean they won't have all those family games, but they won't JUST have them. They'll definitely have a wider selection of game-ratings for the Wii.
Mon Calamari wrote:Gamecube graphics or worse, horrible "TV" controller, cost less than the Gamecube started out with, and as -_- too many "family" games.
Whoa, can I ask where you're getting this info? Maybe you should look at some previews again, and tell me where you see "Gamecube Graphics OR WORSE"? The Wii graphics may not be "state-of-the-art", but they definitely are good. And, yes, the GameCube was not too good in the graphics department, but that doesn't mean ANYTHING. The Wii has good graphics. Maybe not as good as the PS3 or 360, but the graphics are definitely still very good.

Well i went to Gamestop.com and looked and some of the games and some games that showed screenshots just looked worse or as good as gamecube graphics were. Now i always say "Graphics arent everything" but the cortooler is pretty werid. I saw on Wii.com videos of people playing the wii and it looks strange how u play. They should have made the controoler just like it was in other systems but a bit different.

The controller is innovative and easy to use. It makes everything fun :)

For the Wii they've decided to end "all family games". They'll be having more M rated games now...
they said that for Gamecube too... and what do we have there? hundreds and thousands of Mario-games... but some of those are really good...

Edit: the new controller seems really cool... but I'm not sure if it would get to innovative after a while...

some things are as cool as they can be when new but gets pretty annoying after a while...I'm not sure if the Wii controller are one of those things...

And they did have more M rated games. Maybe not too many, but they definitely did. And, most likely they'll have even more on the Wii.

maybe they will...

but I'm almost sure I'll get a 360 when the prizes been lowered a little... but maybe I'll get dissapointed if I don't have a nintendo console again... no more Zelda games if I'll have 360...

but I'm still thinking... really hard choice..

I'll buy a 360 because I have the weirdest feeling that I might accidently throw my Wii remote at my TV ._.

hehe...

imagine playing Zelda, after several weeks, maybe months, later you've reached the final boss...
you fight like [word not allowed] and suddenly the controller slips out of your hands flies into the TV and blow it up.... LOL!!

im surprised no one has said anything about brawl for wii, its the 2nd funnest multiplayer games in mankind's history (Uno Extreme is 1st)

Yeah, but Brawl isn't going to be out for ages yet. We're talking about the launch titles that'll come with the consoles. On the flip side, I have to say that Brawl is the other reason why I'll be getting a Wii, though apparently it doesn't make use of the motion controller.

Really? That's sorta dissapointing... But, still. Brawl's gonna kick.
Anyways, have you come to a conclusion yet? (Get the Wii )

no conclsusion yet.... hard choice, but this round is won by the 360 but the match is not over yet!

and I'll probably wait with buying any new console until the prizes been lowered a little... they always lower the prize after a while don't they?

I suppose part of it is that I want the Wii to be better, just because I like Nintendo... but why not Wii? I feel like graphics are at a point of diminishing returns. Okay, sure, Sony, crank those graphics up. Will it really change my immersion into the game that much? Not really. I felt immersed on an N64, lol.

And then there's SSB. Of all the games I've played, it's really been the only one to never lose replayability for me. Since I don't buy games all the time, something like that is key for me.

And as for the controller, I'm still not sure I'm sold on it. I like innovation, but I worry that sometimes gamemakers introduce something innovative at the expense of gameplay. (To me, the touchscreen on DS seemed excessive/unnecessary, but to be fair, I never had one.) However- Wii is going to work with a GameCube controller as well as the Wiimote, and I don't doubt that many (if not most) of their titles will be compatible with both controllers, especially the ones that don't really seem to lend themselves to a less-traditional control scheme.

And then, maybe I'm still ten, but I feel like the games Nintendo makes are just more enjoyable. I like Halo... I guess. But FPSs are a dime-a-dozen. BF2 is the first one I've owned, and it's enjoyable, but I really got it because of the [SW galaxy] setting, not the gametype. I'll take a decent RPG to your standard Microsoft racing-game/shooter du jour.
