Installing the Pandemic xsiaddon

I have Softimage XSI mod tool 4.2, I have registered it so as to activate exporting, when I go to file/add-on/install I browse for the pandimic add-on which I have put in: C:\Softimage\XSI_4.2_ModTool\Addons.

Once selected a bunch of the add-ons features/programs are displayed in the dialoge window, meshexporter, something about cloth, ECT.

When I hit install a few seconds pass, and I get the message, "To use this add-on you must restart XSI".
I do that, but when I close out, and then open up again there is an error in that box on the bottom-left:

'ERROR : 2262 - This plug-in could not be loaded:
'<path: c:\users\Owner\Softimage\XSI_4.2_ModTool\Addons\PandemicBF2\Application\Plugins\RegisterPandemicScripts.js>
'

What am I doing wrong? I hope I supplied enough detail.

Thanks in Advance.

This has been answered SOOOOOOOO many times.

the Pandemic addon DOES NOT work with the XSI Mod tools. TO use the addon go buy XSI foundations 4.2 or higher.

Oh, so I can make models, but to get a msh I have to send my .obj to someone with the addon and has foundations?
Sorry, that this has been answed so many times, I would think it would be stickied.

maybe it should be, lol.

You can either buy XSI, or when you've finished your model annoy someone and send them your model in .xsi format.

Sending scenes for export

Yeah, but before you go sending a model to someone to export it for you, make sure you have it exactly the way you want it, and also that it is textured and has nulls where they need to be and collision and lowrez and/or shadowvolume meshes defined so you and the person exporting don't have to play the "back and forth" game, and having it ready to export means that the person exporting it doesn't have to touch your model or "fix" it up for you before exporting it.

... wow, I have no idea how to do any of thats stuff yet, nulls? bah, I'll read the docs before I start asking questions.

not much in the docs for modeling. read the FAQ in this section and download XSI 101.
