The Official BF1 Conversion Map Pack (created by TAW/GT)

Now that we're getting closer to our deadline, I thought I'd let you in on the specifics of the BF1 Mappack that is a joint effort between us and TAW clan.

First off, the feature list:
-Conquest mode (all maps)
-1 flag CTF (most maps)
-2 flag CTF (most maps)
-Hero Assault (most maps)
-Hunt (some maps)
-XL (most if not all maps)
-Fixes for those pesky wall hackers (and we'll fix em' good too :P)

Now for a status report:
-Bespin Platforms -- 90% complete: need deathregions for wall hacks (Teancum) and proper sound calls (TAW_Artemis)
-Bespin Cloud City -- 95% complete: need deathregions for wall hacks
-Geonosis Spire -- 75% complete: All modes work, but Darth-Derkie has not been online in a long time, so we're not sure what updates there are, if any
-Rhen Var Harbor -- 75% complete: One of Darth-Derkie's. Need to get ahold of him for any updates
-Rhen Var Citadel -- 85% complete: Should be quite playable in multiple modes
-Kashyyyk Islands -- 98% complete: In final testing
-Kashyyyk Docks -- 95% complete: a few small bugs to smash.
-Naboo Plains -- 75% complete: need to finish up game modes (Teancum)
-Naboo Theed -- 75% complete: needs tweaking and deathregions for wall hackers
-Kamino Tipoca City -- 99% complete: In final testing
-Tatooine Dune Sea -- 85% complete: need to do vehicle sounds (TAW_Artemis) and tweak/test all modes
-Yavin 4 Arena -- 100% complete


We're planning for a release on April 22nd, but it might get pushed back if there are bugs that still need to be fixed.

Aehm i´m a bit confused here .
Weill there be 2 mappacks coming out soon?
One time the "BF1 GT/TAW Mappack" and one time the "Star Wars Bf2 Mappack 1" ???

this is good stuff. I've played bespin: cloud city conversion, and i was thoroughly impressed with it. Except the ground was all orange, which may have had something to do with the sky color or tinting.
Was wondering if its the same map or if it was fixed.

:? Are you sure? I assume the BF1 GT/TAW Mappack is the one as described above (the SWBF1 maps converted), however I think that the Star Wars Bf2 Mappack 1 that Rends refers to is the one as described (and polled) by Guru in the thread:

Not the same at all, or has the pack in Guru's thread been put on hold temporarily?

The GT/TAW Map pack is for the Pandemic BF1 maps. The GT only map pack is for user-made maps.


Speaking of the GT/TAW Map pack, the release date is being pushed back. There's still way to much to do. We've only got four guys working on 12 maps, and it seems like each time we fix a bug a new one arises. A release date is not known at this time.

May I suggest you call this mappack ' The Official GT/TAW BF1 Conversion Mappack ' ? :P

Probably. I'm not entirely sure. There may be one patch for it in the end.

Yeah -- it's going to be a little while. We may have to release the maps in two separate packs.

I cant wait for this map pack. The old game was awsome...but the old levels with the new classes and playable jedi...EVEN AWSOMER!!!

I'd like to annouce that the mappack should be out on Saturday. It will be version 1.0 of the pack. There will still be some bugs. All four of the map converters (TAW_Artemis, TAW_Pinx, Darth-Derkie and myself) are very busy. It is unknown at this time if any future versions will come out that have fixes for these bugs.
