To be fair Rebellion had to try to make the game good on the PSP --- SWBF2 wasn't that good on PSP either and it was done by Pandemic. So if they have a chance to use all the next-gen goodness we can expect great things.
True, I'm just not a very big fan of Rebellion. They can indeed make a great game but looking back at their previous work it wasn't all that great but like you said with all the next-gen stuff they can make a really good game. Same as SWBF2 goes even though it didn't turn out the quite the best (in my opinion) but Pandemic looks like its gone a long ways with LotRC.

Its pretty clear that Free Radical was making SWBF3 because Free Radical's Ex employee(s) leaked info out. I have no doubt that they wouldn't make one because of how SWBF1 and SWBF2 shot off and they made a lot of money on those two games.

Yes, I do realize these are still rumors, so not I'm not getting my hopes up until there is more proof or a trailer is made up of it.

If it does come out on PC, wow. My modeling days will definitely be over. That will kill it for me, as high-poly+Fluffy=PHAIL. And yeah, Han DOES look liek a gorilla there.

First off, we have to remember (like has already been said) that it's still a rumor. Model renders don't mean squat. Honestly we do stuff like that all the time at my work to try and 'bid' on the job and don't always get it. In-game shots would mean something. Those renders come from a guy looking for a new job, nothing more. This happens all the time with other games and companies. It is very likely the WERE working on SWBF3? -- sure, we can't dispute that, but as we always we will wait until official word comes from Lucasarts and nobody else.

Secondly it's only a rumor that Rebellion studios took SWBF3 over, even IF it really was in development.

while thinking about it, it cant be swbf3, if they developed it they would have got the rights from lucasarts to give han and the cancelor a canon face..

At least Han looks 1,000 times better than he does in SWBF2.

Just so you know, I wasn't treating those as 100% proof, I was just saying that it wouldn't work beautifully if I were to model. But Han actually doesn't have much resemblance to Harrison Ford in that pic at all...

Quite honestly the Rebel Soldier looks more like a gorilla than Han, but that's beside the point.
Like Tean said, until LucasArts issues an official statement about Battlefront 3, it's still at this point, just a rumor.
Although, I would think that everyone here hopes it isn't.

No way. This looks more advanced model- wise than the other, but the other somewhat resembles Harrison Ford.

I agree that it is still a rumor, but why/how could LA over look and ignore it's most successful franchise? Then again look at Republic Commando, that was successful and deserves some kind of sequel. Anyways. Going back to the discussion of Rebellion's track record look at High Voltage, they don't have the best games out, but their game for the Wii, The Conduit, looks and plays amazingly from what I've read. So this could be Rebellion's break out game.

I think the models are too detailed, considering the previous BF's.

The previous games weren't next-gen though.

Neither were HALO 1 and 2, the next-gen style of HALO 3 didn't really make it much better than the 2 previous games.

The graphical difference between the 3 is noticeable though.
