*WEIRD* munging problem!

Hi guys, this is REALLY weird (just in case the title didn't tell you so already :p) and frustrating. It seems my map just refuses to accept new changes now.

It started out with the Dagobah mist. I tried to add it again on other parts of the map, it didn't work. I did a manual clean, still didn't work. Then I tried to delete all the Dagobah mist from my map, munged, it was still there. Manually cleaned, munged, IT WAS STILL THERE. But it shows up as deleted on ZE.

At roughly the same time I messed with the mist, I wanted to put a speederbike on my map for faster travel around the map (only temporary though, I will replace it with a swampspeeder). I followed everything the FAQ/EYN thread said about adding a shipped vehicle to the map, but for some reason, it didn't work. Manual cleaned, it didn't work.

I am at a total, complete loss right now, and I am afraid I cannot continue work on my map until I figure out what's going on.

In ZE did you give the right details for what team the speeder should go on? This might not be to do with munging.

You will want to make sure you name the control region with the ClassProperties box or else it won't work. Make sure the vehicle spawn is set to "cp#" and not "cp#_control". Also make sure you add it into the LUA.

thats because you are loading the imperial speederbike from the alliance side
from the prefix "imp" you cant see that it is in the impside

Ok, you want to be careful for the "message severity: 3" messages as some of them can crash your map. In your log you have 2 message severity: 3 problems, and it looks like they are about the same thing.

This tells the munger that everything from here to the end parentheses can be found in the "imp" side folder. The same applies to the all.lvl and tur.lvl.

Nope. Changing it to the imp.lvl side in ReadDataFile didn't work.


*sigh* Guys, this seems to be unfixable. If there's just no fix for this, I'm just going to restore my map onto an earlier version I have on an external hard drive.

*EDIT* On second thought, that might not work. I found out it being Hero Assault was the problem.


Onto the mist part, it seems to only allow those particular mist objects. It rejects every single other mist .odf , even if it's completely renamed.

Does ANYONE know what the cause of this might be?

I think the default Hero Assault lua doesn't have this line

SetMemoryPoolSize("EntityHover", X) --"X" is the number of hover vehicles you want
which you need if you want to have hover vehicles like the speederbike in your map.

okay, well, putting a speeder on a map then isn't much of a problem as the mist. Do you know what's wrong with it? I checked the BFront2.log and got this:

so I put this in my game's .LUA:

And tried out the map again. I still got the error, and my mist still wasn't showing up. This may be an unnecessary fact, but my mist prop has been renamed. If I changed it back to the original, the 'ghost' prop would show up.

Well, I guess that answers part of my question...but that's not what I asked about. I asked about why the mist is being so stubborn. Can I be sure I'm doing it right? I have the mist texture and .fx in my effects folder, and the odf in my odf folder. Is that all it, or am I missing something?

And just to remind you, it's the Dagobah mist.
