I'm making a map with lava in it and I'm trying to get it done so I can release it tonight. I have made using SaturnV tutorial, lava that moves. A problem is that the lava looks like water when I have the water set on High in the video settings. When I turn it on low, it looks fine. What I did was change the texture that the fx called. Instead of dag1_water.tga it calls lava_flow.tga
I'm thinking that the solution is somewhere within possibly the specular masks, bumpmaps, and normal maps. I just don't want to kill the map. That really isn't that terrible of a problem, I can live with it because I just put a texture under the water so it still looks alright. Another though, is I want to get rid of the effects when your walking throught water, jump in it, or throw a grenade in it. Otherwise saying I want to get rid of the splash, becuase lava dosn't really do that. So if you know the answers speak soon.
