Definitely calling BS on this one. Nowhere does he state that he's a credible source. It's probably just like any other blog, a guy/gal taking what they heard and "piecing it together" in a way that makes sense to them.
I would put ZERO stock into that blog.

well, from what i can tell, it seems like this would have been released along with bf3. there are just so many similarities.
all i care about is that bf3 comes out sometime soon, at least soon after the old republic

I don't know how we can call too many similarities when all we ever saw of SWBF3 is an unofficial 2 minute trailer and a few pieces of concept art. There's nothing really to compare it against.

Re: Battlefront: Elite Squadron for PSP and DS
i guess your righ, but still. the clone guy without the helmet who fought the jedi and said "you betrayed the empire, you betrayed me". they looked similair to me as if they were twins when it came to their faces. also, the ground to space combat. it just seems like this was at first meant to be released alongside bf3 to vary it up. there are still 2 unannounced lucasarts games that will show up at e3 tomorrow, and i really hope that they confirm bf3. after all, even if for some reason the game sucks worse than the E.T. movie game, it would still bring in tons of cash. i think its just a matter of time.
EDIT

found 4 videos for this game. looks alot better then i expected i gotta say. just go under videos and you can download all of em.

thanks plokoon761
so i was right then? thats what i meantTeancum wrote:Nah, this is a "SWBF3 is a train wreck, let's appease everyone with a PSP/DS title until we figure out how to save it"lesovikk1 wrote:this is swbf3 but lucasarts has decided to release it on ds and psp but a rename to stop confusion (ie why call it swbf3 and only release it on ds and psp that would cause an uproar and confusion to people who has seen the leaked footage). because of the similar gameplay and the characters. but they have done it on ds and psp as there hasnt been any swbf games on there really. but is it also on these due to the upcomming starwarstheclonewars: republic heroes (swtcrh) game? to substitute it? its comming the same time because there isnt a ds and psp version of swtcrh game so swbf3 has made the perfect substitute for ds and psp owners?

Sorry, but I clearly see that as a rip off. Getting the best Battlefront series yet on the platforms that not that many people have and so I think it would be better for PC. I mean, why can't they just convert the controls for the PC??

Sure, that should take what - a couple of guys and a day or two, right?Nova Hawk wrote:I mean, why can't they just convert the controls for the PC??
They're the professionals, obviously this is what they think is the best decision. How is it a rip off? It's not:
a) Copying something from another game, or
b) Making you spend more money than you should (unless you purchase the game and try and force it in your CD drive)

Wow... ungrateful much? You have no idea what it takes to do something like that. And how in the world is that a ripoff??? If Free Radical hadn't been running behind on SWBF3, this would have come out at around the same time and you wouldn't be saying that.Nova Hawk wrote:Sorry, but I clearly see that as a rip off. Just because you want it on the PC, doesn't mean it will be on the PC, and doesn't mean it's a ripoff.Nova Hawk wrote:Sorry, but I clearly see that as a rip off. That's because no one here, including me, can stand general opinions about something totally unrelated that should best not be voiced in a way like that.

Lol, that's like saying Star Wars Battlefront isn't a rip off of the Battlefield franchise.Nova Hawk wrote:Sorry, but I clearly see that as a rip off.

OK, I understand that someone saying something will make someone react by replying with something. thanks for clearing this up.

Re: Battlefront: Elite Squadron for PSP and DS
Any guess on whether there will be 'reused' maps from Renegade Squadron like they did between BF1 & BF2?
By the way, I know it was discussed that it would be difficult, if not impossible to convert Renegade Squadron maps to BF2, but has anyone tried to just plain rebuild them? I'm not talking user-customized units, etc..just the map itself.
How about Elite Squardon, anyone planning on attempting to rebuild any of the maps?

I've never played Renegade Squadron (nor have I ever seen video footage of it). Are the maps of the game good then? Do you think it would be worth the try? If so, maybe I'd be interested.

Re: Battlefront: Elite Squadron for PSP and DS
The maps are good, but I've always kind've hoped they would never be made for BF2, mostly because I've been searching for ways to validate my purchasing a PSP solely for Renegade Squadron, and the maps have been a nice part of that.

There were plans for a Renegade Squadron "Conversion" Pack, but there was never enough interest in it or work done for it to ever be officially announced.squipple wrote: By the way, I know it was discussed that it would be difficult, if not impossible to convert Renegade Squadron maps to BF2, but has anyone tried to just plain rebuild them? This was one of the maps in it (The only one that ever had any work put into it, as far as I know).

Interesting. It seems like it could have a lot of gameplay potential. (I think I'm going to send the author a pm via youtube to see if he still has the source files.)
