O.k. i can't seem to get a map working can someone please post a simple, bullet-point tutorial on building a map

okay, first thing's first.
READ THE DOCUMENTATION!!!!!!
I know it's tough, but we all have to do it, and I still reference it from time to time. The Getting Started doc is the best place to look when you're begginig. The FAQ/everythingyouneedtoknow thread is also very handy. You don't learn everything overnight, it's gradual. After that, work on your map. If it's still giving you trouble, come back here and tell us what you don't understand, or a detailed description of the problem/ question. It's much easier for us to help that way. And btw, this is the right place.

A word of advice that could literally save you years of frustration: when you open up ZeroEditor, press "f".
If someone told me that years ago....well, I could have started modding years ago. Months went by with me puzzling over why I couldn't see anything in ZE....

So, so true...though it didn't take me months....btw the down arrow might work even better, not sure though.
