Eggman wrote:I gave the map a quick play-through in each era and didn't notice any real problems. The visual style of the map is a refreshing change of pace from ordinary maps. Although I always enjoy a good map based on a Star Wars location, it's nice to see someone trying a different style. I can only think of two suggestions for quick changes before a final release:

-Switch the Rebel units to the Tantive IV variants; the desert variant looks out of place in the map.
-I noticed a green ambient light in one of the green tunnels. It was a nice touch, but I didn't notice similar lights in other enclosed areas, so it might be good to add some if you think they'll fit (there aren't really any other completely enclosed tunnels, I suppose).

All in all, the map is definitely ready for a final release.
Now that I think about it, I did forget to add ambient light in the other places. I'm glad somebody actually noticed one of the little details I thought would be cool to throw in!

Whelp, there's the thing that needs changing. Sorry beta people, you'll have to re-download if you want a couple little details thrown in. (and Tantive IV rebels)

Thanks for the tips!

Played through the beta. Enjoyed it greatly  . That green tunnel Eggman mentioned can be exploited by players, but that's the only thing I really noticed. I'd add a death region to the bottom of the green tunnel, but that's just me, cuz it's not really an issue, just a minor annoyance when playing multiplayer with my brother and cousins.

You played a match in multiplayer? Wow, that was totally unexpected. I'll be sure to do what you mentioned!

One more thing I forgot to mention: on my computer with a resolution of 1280x800, at least, the line breaks for the map description are misplaced. I don't know if screen resolution affects the placement of text in the map description or not, but if it appears the same way for people with other resolutions you should adjust the line breaks.

Wow, I love the map! Its decently balanced, has a great atmosphere, fun to play. I have but two qualms.

It appears those two objects are missing textures. Barring that, I can't say anything bad about this map.

Also, this map would benefit greatly from a load-screen. Its just that icing on the cake. And believe me, it is some awesome cake.

Hmm..... I'm afraid there might not be much I can do to fix the texture problems. I ran through the map and looked at the exact msh's you seemed to be having problems with and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I even checked it with all kinds of different settings combinations, too. Don't know what to say about this one. (Do you mind telling me what settings you were playing on?)

Thanks for the feedback from all of the beta testers. These finishing touches would have definitely been glanced over if it weren't for you!

Had a few games in conquest and hero assault, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The gameplay seems very well balanced and the level design really works for this game, the layout actually reminded me a lot of Rhen Var: Citadel, which is one of my favourite levels. This is no exception, and the different levels, and connecting platforms make the gameplay varied and fun. I actually really enjoyed playing as the jet trooper, which I hardly ever use. Overall, there weren't any obvious issues, apart from some of the reflective surfaces on the white blocks, and ramps, which seemed a bit bright, but then I did have bloom enabled. Other than that, which is a small issue, it was a great map which I will enjoy a lot. This is a definite keeper in my addon. I also agree with Null_1138 that a loadscreen would add to it, and a map this good definitely needs one. I would be quite happy do one for you if you like, and could knock one up in no time. Just an offer, as you probably have your own ideas for one. I think I'm going to play some more now, it was that fun.

Depending on your computer, missing textures appear as either black, white, or grey (learned that back when I submitted my Taris map for the SWBFFiles contest a while back). I didn't notice any missing textures, but that could be because my computer displays them as white. If they appear white but have no reflection like the rest of the white blocks, then chances are they are simply missing their textures for some reason.

ATI makes things show up as black, Nvidia makes them show up as white. I've never seen any show up gray outside of things left untextured on my Xbox 360.

But yeah, if you're using Nvidia that's why they're not appearing black for you.

I played through it alot, I love this map. It is one of the most unique maps ever. The missing textures show up black to me, but this was minor. I love the animated cubes floating around. :D
I was surprisede that I could not find any collision problems, I never saw the AI run into walls. I only played DT2, but I am sure the rest is cool.
I cant wait to see what the say on SBFFiles about this.
9/10

Well, that's what I have, an ATI Radeon HD 5570.

Nasal, I've played the map on high settings, low settings, glow, no glow, shadows, no shadows, it is always black. To be fair, the objects are sort of out of the way, and I only found them by accident, so it's not a huge bug.

For that second more vehicle based map I suggest a something tron themed with Daft Punk playing as the music.

Alright, sorry It's been so long but the map is being released on Gametoast TONIGHT. FINALLY. Look for it on Star Wars Battlefront Files later on in the week.

You can definitely blame my schoolwork for all of the delays and stuff. Trust me when I say I'm just as eager to get it out of the door as you guys are to have it in your add-on folders ;)
