Hi,
i'm new here.
I love the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront II.
But there many maps ripped.
So,i buyed the PC version.
But on my old PC,runs the game very crapy.
I see no difference beetween high and low texturedetails.
It is possible per commandline to set the Texturesize set to 64x64?
Or please can someone scale down (64x64) the map and the model textures and compile this for me.
I hope this is understandly.

Not exactly through Command Prompt, but there are batch processing add-ons for programs like GIMP. Before you do anything else, are your graphics settings all the way down (especially the resolution)? I remember playing Battlefront II decently on a computer with those specs, though I think I had less RAM

Hi,
thank you for your answer.
Yes,all settings are set to lowest.
800x600 is the lowest, but i have tryed to add this in the commandline /resolution 720 576.
If i set this gameresolution to 640x480,i have problems to navigate the menu.
Ok i will try to convert the textures.
Are that the Source files of the maps?
*\BF2_ModTools\assets\worlds\
But if i have been converted the textures, how to compile this maps?

That I'm not sure of. You might be able to replace all of the side .lvls in the game with new ones that you munge with the lower resolution textures. It won't change the textures on the maps, but I have a feeling that the lower resolution textures on the units will be good enough for you to run the game. I'll try to take a look at it sometime soon and PM you what I find

I have downgraded the textures to 64x64 for Geonosis.
The uncompiled map is now 7,50mb tall.
Is it allowed to upload the source files of the map?

Yes, you can. If you
follow this tutorial, you can edit the textures of the maps, munge them to a .lvl file that you will find in your Battlefront 2 Addon folder, and then copy and rename that .lvl to the corresponding map in your Battlefron 2/GameData/data/lvl_pc folder. That should replace the textures for all the maps (you'll have to do this each time though).

Many thanks, the Game runs now very smooth.
I have converted the textures to 32x32.
If i have more time,i redone this and i split the texturesize :4.
z.b. 256x256 to 64x64 or 512x512 to 128x128.
I have made some screenshots.

Hi again
i'm try to perfect the Maps.
Jabbas Palace,Kashyyk,Mos eisley,Kamino,Mustafar have i done without texturebugs.
But i noticed that on Hoth are some protection walls are greyed.
I found out that hoth_main_1.tga the Texture for this is.
I have remove this texture but the protection walls are already greyed.
Left is the Original installed map.
And right is the munched map,but i does'nt have changed any texture.

But i think it strange that the original map has 24,3mb and the munched with original textures 22,7mb.
