This game looks good and after playing some BF: 1943 I kinda want it, but $60? If it is as similar to 1943 as the way it looks like it is, then it seems way over-priced.
Is it worth it?

BFBC2 is alot deeper than 1943. More game modes, more maps, more everything. While 1943 had 3 classes and just hop in and start shooting, BFBC2 is more focused on team work and more variety.
I think it's worth the $60 ($50 for me).

It's running sorta glitchy for me.
And it won't connect to any servers or anything. Seems like the same problems that I have with Battlefield 2 are transferred over here.
The campaign's pretty awesome though.

I think those specs are optimal specs not minimum to run.

Is there any character customization and how much weapon customization is there (scopes, silencers, skins)?

For campaign, you find guns to add to your inventory and can pick any two at full ammo whenever you find a weapons crate.
In multiplayer, you have four classes, Assault (Assault Rifles, Ammo Packs and Grenade Launchers), Engineer (SMGs, RPGs, and Mines/Repair Tools), Medic (LMGs, Defibs, and Health Packs), and Recon (Sniper Rifles, C4/Mortar, and Motion Sensors). Each class also will unlock pistols and shotguns, depending on your current rank. The classes can pick up other packs from dead units, and I think the weapons will count towards the original class' experience points.
As of now, my Assault Class has four Rifles to choose from, will have a Spas-12 later today, has a 2x scope, Red Dot sight, a 4x Scope, and has a Grenade Launcher attachment, Smoke Grenade Launcher attachment, and 2 ammo Shotgun attachment. That's a lot of choices to make.

It's more on EA/DICE's side for now. Alot of people are having connection problems. Me too. And Punkbuster problems. It's quite annoying, but I hope they sort it out soon. Still a great game.
Fusion you hit that topic right on the dot.

I had a pretty good match as the sniper on Arica Harbor during Hardcore Rush.
It was pretty awesome.

Man, this game looks really sweet, and considering I don't have a current generation console, I was going to buy this for PC, but I just found out DICE isn't putting out mod tools. Now I'm not so sure.

My name is Moving7arg37 if you want to squad up sometime.
You do know the whole story behind no mod tools right?

Hey, long time since I posted here

I got kinda bored of WoW, so I bought this game and I kinda like it. Long time tho since I seriously played a shooter. My K/D ratio is below 1 like always

No I do not, though I know they are allowing dedicated servers.

Basically this version of Frostbite isn't stable enough for modding. DICE loves mods and wanted to release tools, but couldn't.

Ah well that sucks. Hopefully the next version will be stable.

Well I think I'm going to get this game, but should I get it for xbox or pc?

Seeing as the PC version probably has the 3-install only DRM due to being published by EA, I'd get it for Xbox.

It's 3? I thought 10. Hmmm...I must have to incapable of reading at the time. O well. You just deauthorize it and get it back. Buying it through steam you still have that 3 DRM in place.

That's not really a problem since there are really only 2 PCs in the house that can handle the game, and I'm wanna play with some old SWBF2 friends on the PC anyway.
The multiplayer system also seems a little better too, especially with the friends list thing.

It's 10, and you can choose while installing to play with the disc in, I think you only get that 10 times limit (not sure how it works, maybe you can install it as many times as you want, but not on a different system) if you want to play without the DVD.
