well i think this space map will be what we've all been waiting for...yes it will take a very long time, and i think x-wing guy deserves credit for having patience both with the constant annoyances of the map itself, and from us posters....lol, we're all eager to play the map, no doubt about it.

Off Topic: unfortunately my two mod maps have to take a low stand in my priority list...i am getting ready to make a fair bit of money in the next 6 to 8 months, which will be a much needed relief.

On Topic Again: i do agree, there are a lot of maps that are making it big now.

im really looking forward to this.
not like the la space versions
just get in bomber go to enemy cap ship run to shield drop your bombs
run back to ammo droid then get back to shield drop 2 bombs.
go back to fighter and destroy the cap ship

now its like run like hell to make it to the hangar before the shields are down then get in x wing (assume im playing as rebel) and shoot down them ties land in there hangar and sneak trough the hallways drop a bomb here and there. destroy a probe patrol squadron, evade some turrets then destroy the batterys and all the systems EXCEPT THE LIFE SUPPORT! ( i dont want to die in a enemy cap ship because i couldnt breath) then sneak to reactor core. destroy the Diet Dr. Pepper thing.AND THEN RUN LIKE HELL TO THE HANGAR GET A FIGHTER AND FLY AWAY! look at the cap ship how it blows away in oblivion!

this is a tale of how im gonna play the map
i hope ive got your pants wetted
i hope that xwing guy makes something out of this map
cya at another post!!!!

He's got something, tho. xwingguy, have you considered realistifying your life support system? All it would take is some LUA coding: if the life support panel is destroyed, you can activate a damage region that encompasses the entire living area of the ship (probably close to the whole ship for you lol), and then have it de - activate if someone repairs it. You could only have it target humans, too, as having it effect vehicles and such would not be good. It doesn't have to be too drastic - have it take maybe a minute or two to die, but enough to pwn someone who's lost - hehe. You could also add a timer condition before the damage region is activated to make it even more realistic, as the crew would still be able to finish off the air already onboard. I personally hated the fact that taking out life support didn't do anything. It would be excellent fun to include this in an already feature - packed map! Just a thought, tell me if you like it!

Throughly read through the front page.

I can get DamageRegions to work yet I cant find ANY way to alter them yet in LUA. They seem to be immune to stuff like RemoveRegion() and DeactivateRegion()

well, search through the campaign scripts, because sometimes when you destry stuff or something, a new region is enabled, I think
