Wow, thanks everyone.
Right now, I'm encountering a particularly nasty bug were the game crashes on about the 6th loading bar.
I don't really know what's causeing it. I'm not getting any major errors in the munge log and unfortunently have the
DVD version ofthe game. If you have any idea what usually causes this then I would be very grateful.
actually, Jawa_Killer, you just gave me an interesting idea:
the commander currently has a pistol as secondary and his alternate primary weapons.
I think that it would be cool to replace one of those with a "bolt accelarator" (or however it's spelled)
It's a weapon from the game Deus Ex: Invisible War (great game, I've only played the demo but...)
It essentially accelerates almostly silently a small glowing dart to great ranges and does some poison damage.
What do you think?

The skins give the map a really modern-art feel that I really like! This map looks like it's gonna be good!

Talan, in screen shot 2 with the ion rifle, what's that absolutely huge golden thing sticking up from behind the wall?

That's a statue, Its fallen onto its side and is leaning on this wall. It's from the coruscant assets

hm it can be caused by a lua mistake.......maybe you placed a shipped vehicle and didn't load it in the lua or sth.........^^

GAH!!!
I feel so stupid...
Well, I fixed the most major bug

I had renamed the side.req but in the lua I was still calling rep.req....
Such a simple bug.
This means that a beta will be soon!
don't ask for a date, I'm pretty busy this weekend, but soon!

Thanks for the interest.
things are going slow. I'm encountering a really bad error.
I posted this in the SWBF2 Modding section so here's the link:
index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=4970
This is very annoying, as the map doesn't work at all.
If you've got any ideas... well... I would be willing to recieve them willingly.
Other than that, I've been working on the terrain a bit and it's getting better. The stuff in the fort or whatever is looking less yaviny
not much else

OK! I'm getting the "cannot open Mission\KIFc_con.lvl"
What does this refer too?
Posted: Tue Apr 25, 2006 8:32 pm
by Penguin
it can't find KIFc_con.lvl in your KIF.lvl file, somewhere its not munging it, check the mission.req, KIFc_con.req and the KIFc_con.lua

Nope, all those are fine.
Also, in the list it shows up as: KIF%s_%s
???????

also, I'm getting stuff like this:
ERROR[levelpack mission\bes2g_ctf.req]:Could not open munged\pc\core.files for input. DOS reports:
No such file or directory
What's with that??? bes2g_ctf isn't even my map!!!
and this hopeless little thing.
ucft <--
ERROR[levelpack ran.req]:Expecting bracket, but none was found.
